'Lovely hôtel - perfect for Lake Windermere. Facilities in the hotel are great: there are even wellingtons you can borrow to do a woodland walk. The restaurant is fantastic with high quality food. The lounge and reception area have wonderful open fires which make it feel really cosy. Our feature room was fantastic and roomy.'

'Food and service excellent. Choice of menu options really good. Rooms good size, bed comfortable, fridge in room with bottles water, plenty of tea, coffee etc in the room. Very convenient from the motorway but away from the road noise. Local walk details provided in the rooms. '

'The chalets are located around a lake with ducks and swans. Nice house with 2 bedrooms, a good sofabed, two badrooms and a complete kitchen. Very helpful reception. Sorry that we only booked one night. We will return!'
