'The one thing that really disappointed me about this place is that their listing on Hotels.com mentions an airport shuttle, but on arrival they tell me to take a taxi, as they 'do not do airport transfers'.
As I specifically picked a non-chain hotel that -did- have an airport shuttle, this led to my stay costing USD 80 more than anticipated. The only response from the staff was weak apologies and an offer to call a taxi. After complaining online, the hotel said they might, with advance notice,...

'Lovely luxurious place in Lower Greenville. Beds were super comfy, two spacious bedrooms each with their own bath, large living room with kitchen. Above Cafe Euro and Sisters restaurant. It is up a steep staircase so keep in mind if mobility is an issue for you (it wasn't for us). The apartment is beautiful and we loved the decor. It is very soundproof so we did not hear any car noise or the large AC units outside the door at the top of the stairs. Food was delicious at Sisters and the coffee...

'I have stayed here several times and I am almost never disappointed. The service at the hotel (on all levels) is excellent. Everyone goes out of their way to make sure that every need is met. Our room was very comfortable and the concierge was key to arranging for the hotel car to take us to dinner and get us back to the hotel.'

Most business hotels around the downtown area are all variations on the same boring thing design, but ZaZa offers the usual amenities in a much more original way. Nicely furnished rooms (many of them themed) and movie memorabilia make the hotel my favourite place to stay in Dallas '

'The Hotel Zaza is a great, quirky place, with lots of nice perks (daily fresh cookies in the lobby!!). The themed rooms look great, but the standard room I stayed in was also fine. The only gripe I have that the kingsize bed was more for dwarf-size kings. It was wide enough, but nowhere near long enough to fit a person over 1m85
Also, the prices for standard amenities are completely over the top. While a beer costs pretty much the same as everywhere else, water or coffee are ridiculously...

'Love staying here when I’m in town for work. The staff is wonderful (although a male manager at the front desk is kinda surly). Kenny (breakfast server) and Ivan (bartender) are both wonderful (the food and drink are amazing). The hotel offers so many little perks and make you feel so welcome…lavender satchels, wine/happy hour, morning coffee in the lobby (my first stay in may they offered a delicious blended energy fruit drink). The rooms are so comfortable too
