'Cute and cozy and clean! We traveled from Topsail Island, NC for a family wedding in Sparta. Our dog loved it too! The host greeted us after the wedding and had a fire going for us to relax under the stars. The local diner for breakfast was great as well as the State Park for a hike. Wish we had more time....'

'This house was a great find! We were attending a wedding at Lake Hopatcong and instead of staying in a bunch of hotel rooms, we choose this home. Four spacious bedrooms, extra beds for additional guests and everything we needed to enjoy being together as a family. Having to travel from North Carolina, my husband and I had to work remotely one day during our stay. The bedrooms upstairs had nice desk space to accommodate private space for us to work. The view of the lake made the stay even more...

'We stayed here for 16 days in May 2025. We live locally, but we needed a place to stay while contractors repaired flood damage in our home. With everything going on at our own house, our nerves were pretty fried. Given our frazzled state, words fail to describe my gratitude for being able to stay at this home. The house is immaculate and extremely well-maintained. The gardens defy description. There were two acres of fenced-in yard for our dogs. The home and garden have several beautiful places...

'Fishing/Lake: There is absolutely no access to the lake, including the community beach. No swimming. No fishing. Such details must be in the property's details in caps. Fishing or swimming is not allowed. Water: Smelly brown water in the house. You can’t drink it or cook with it or even take a shower. It is disguising. No heads-up about the water issue. Kitchen: The smell of dirty dishes welcomed us. It looks like the previous renters left them there. Only 4 forks and 1 knife in the house....

'Owner does not have good communication did not respond to my messages it took two hours to bring me the keys to enter the house as soon as I entered the house was not the same as the photos in the ad the bathroom did not work I informed the owner of this and he did not solve anything and he was even rude to say if I did not like it just cancel it at the end I paid to stay for 7 days he changed the checkout date and did not refund me the difference. It was the worst experience I could have'
