I paid the full bill for the stay in Expedia and Fairfield Auburn charged me AGAIN for the room and is now refusing to refund my money. On top of all of that, Expedia is refusing to assist. I will NEVER use Expedia and and I will NEVER stay at another Fairfield Inn. Your customer service is pathetic.'

'The blinds did not work in our room and there were stains on the lamp. We also had a weight for coffee because there was none left. Poor quality coffee. For the amount of money we paid the hotel did not match. Pool out of order as well'

'The hotel is obviously a low cost hotel, but it is in dire need of updating. Hallway carpets were pretty gross looking and the room didn’t even have a closet (it had a door for a closet, but only a pipe inside the door with nothing to hang clothes on). Lights would flicker and come on slowly when you’d turn the switch on. The AC worked but not very well. But it’s quiet and cheap, sufficed for a quick overnight stay for a wedding.'

'Very good stay, excellent clean room, very good breakfast, really nice lobby/breakfast room and halls. Very quiet. The desk needs to be manned more consistently. Each time I went to the desk, it took a few minutes for someone in the back room to notice I was there - they were otherwise very helpful.'

'We were here just for the night and we enjoyed our stay, Friendly man at the reception. Large room with a king bed. All the things you need when you're traveling. The room was clean. In the morning they offered a modest breakfast, but enough to start the day.'

'The staff was great, but the food at Shade is not good; it's too expensive and not what one would expect. The clam chowder had almost no clams and no potatoes either. But the rooms are very good -- very spacious and comfortable. There is no microwave, which is a shame, but there is a small fridge. There is a nice exercise room, and there is a hot tub in use, but the pool has no heat. There are pluses and minuses here.'

'Don't miss this lodge hidden in the green hillside near Sturbridge. Nice quiet location, and a neat 2nd storey veranda in Bldg 2 one can access from the upper lot to slow and and chill out. Very reasonable, and fairly priced Thank you.'

'We requested a room with handicap access. What we got was anything but. The room was at the end of a very long hallway, a distance that was nearly impossible for the handicapped individual.'
