Waterfront, zonsondergang en gezinsvriendelijk

Het hele seizoen strandhuis gebouwd in 1990 voor uitgebreide familie met 4 slaapkamers en een futonkamer, 2 badkamers en een buitendouche. Licht gevulde dubbele hoogte houten interieur woonkamer open voor eetkamer en keuken. Een goed uitgeruste keuken met 2 ovens en vaatwasser met voldoende werkruimte voor meerdere koks. Grote 3-zijdige veranda die de zomerbries vangt, uitzicht op Buzzards Bay en spectaculaire zonsondergangen. Wasmachine en droger op de begane grond. Vereniging strand voor het huis beschikbaar om te zwemmen en varen, waterschoenen aanbevolen. Fietsen, kajaks, ping pong tafel in de garage, croquet set voor de tuin en strand speelgoed zijn beschikbaar.

2 mijl naar supermarkt, winkels en tijdens het zomerseizoen de vrachtwagen die vers geplukte maïs en producten verkoopt. Gemakkelijke toegang tot het Fairhaven-fietspad, het beschermde natuurgebied West Beach en de stranden, het historische Fairhaven Centre, het New Bedford Whaling Museum, de veerboot naar Martha Vineyard en Cuttyhunk en dicht bij Newport, Providence en Boston.

This property was in a beautiful location, quiet and had and incredible view. The home was well kept and well supplied for all your needs, not to mention, it has so many fun aspects built right into it. We particularly enjoyed the shuttered windows that opened to look out upon the lower family room and allow fantastic air circulation to the upstairs. It was such a charming home. The only negatives we had were minor, such as it needs more comfortable dining chairs, as we spent many nights around the table sharing meals and playing family board games and the chairs were terrible. The only other comment would be to go through the kitchen drawers and replace some of the aged rusted utensils and kitchen accessories. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic place to vacation. I hope we get to rent again, we really enjoyed our stay.

The family is already talking about 2026 Beach house vacation! Being from Fairhaven originally makes the availability of Leeward Way extraordinarily special. The neighbors are friendly, and we help remove seaweed from the beach during the week. There are many restaurants, but we usually prefer bringing seafood to cook at the house.

Wish we could stay longer!

Great spot on the beach, nice area and nice hosts

We had a great time. The best thing about the property was that it was unlike most rentals because everything worked as described. I don't think even one item was a disappointment. It had good dishes, working utilities, good furniture, enough bathrooms, it was well-supplied with everything. We left some stuff behind to accomodate for stuff we used. the pictures were good and not deceptive. It could use AC, but being on the beach the need is less than elsewhere. Our hosts were nice and did not bother us, it was a very pleasant place to stay for a week and relax with the family. The beach is actually 100 feet away, but there were not other properties between the beach and the house and the place was very private. Thanks, Don

Fantastic Beachfront Location

The location was very convenient to everything! The views are incomparable!! Panoramic views of the bay; just gorgeous. The only downfall was that the cleaning was lacking. Cobwebs everywhere; left over soap bars and containers in the showers as well as mold on the shower curtain. Woken up by the smoke alarm going off at 5 am found a spider inside that caused alarm to go off. Had two more instances of spiders one in my bed at 5:30 am and another dropping from the ceiling on me in the kitchen. Just think the cleaning crew needs a pep talk to get the place ready better. Towels were old and very worn. Also found the request to wash and dry linens and towels before the 10am checkout to be unrealistic.

A Home away from home

Loved the quaintness of the space! The views were breathtaking and the location was perfect. My fishing buddies all agree that this home is worth a revisit. Even the cloudy days were beautiful! The host John was truly appreciated.
