'Property is amazing and home renovation and condition was outstanding, unfortunately we went on a cold weekend and the room was freezing (60°F) with no way to adjust temperature. The bed was very hard and uncomfortable. These conditions resulting in almost no sleep.'

'We thoroughly enjoyed our 3-night stay. Our king room on the first floor was very comfortable, spotless, had a large bathroom, and even a little back deck. The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team. Veronica's gourmet breakfasts were a huge treat, different every morning, and served with attention to every detail in the elegant dining room. Veronica was happy to share suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area....

'Stayed at Hoyt House in early April. Weather was lousy. Everything else was great. Location is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores of Fernandino Beach. Everything in the Inn was in top shape, and a lot of thought clearly went into making the guests comfortable. Umbrellas when it rained. A glass of wine in the afternoon. Plenty of places to sit witha book or other activity.

'There are no rooms that are accessible for handicapped people. The stairs have a handrail on only one side with no elevator and no ground floor rooms. When I asked about how I would be able to get my bags and myself upstairs to my room, the desk clerk commented rather snidely that I should look for a different hotel. Not the slightest sign of sympathy or offer of assistance. The hotel is over 100 years old and it shows its age… not in a good way.'

'My room had apiece of trash behind the door and the toilet needed to be cleaned on the outside seat. The room needed a coffee maker since the lobby does not open until 6 which is when they also open the continental breakfast. The food was good for what it was. The stag was very friendly and provided excellent service. The remote to my was missing and when I reported it, they quickly found or replaced it. I did not use the outdoor pool but it look nice. It was screened it and bbq pit were near by...

'It’s not the Ritz but it was clean and had very comfortable beds. They had a good breakfast selection and it was right off the interstate. Only issue I had was the shower head needed replaced. We are at a Disney resort now, and we are missing the mattress we had at Microtel. '

'The hotel is very convenient to the cruise port and easy to locate. Our room was very nice and large, but when we arrived, there was some dirt and sticky residue on the floor and a little dirt on the couch. I called the desk and someone came and cleaned that immediately. Breakfast was great! Parking was free and just right outside in their parking lot.'
