'Hotel is modern, well maintained with lovely staff. Rooms are really well kept with beds and pillows that are so comfortable! The best we have had for a long time. Parking is easy, breakfasts are always excellent, with the hot food regularly topped up. Pool area is really clean, helpful staff, and you can order coffee/drinks to be brought to you on the sun beds. A nice touch! Only issue we had was that the air-con was so cold in the evening, it would have been better to be turned down a touch!'

'Wij zijn vroeger moeten vertrekken doordat ons kindje ziek werd. Ook al konden we de kamer toen niet meer annuleren was het personeel wel heel vriendelijk en bzhulpzaam. Ze warmden met plezier zijn flesje op en hadden een babybedje voorzien. Dank u wel !'

'What a beautiful historic building. Nice quiet atmosphere. Rooms were little dated but comfortable with great bed. It was a pity that my wifi did not connect to the hotel website to log in and the duty manager did not come further then 'mine does connect perfectly'. However in the end he solved it.'

'All staff were very professional, helpful and courteous at all times. The room was easily 5***** and exceptional value. The food and service in general were second to none.

'Not very well organized with passwords etc. When I arrived, I had to wait for ~10-15 minutes for getting into the room because it was not ready.
Location is not confortable. It is ~2 km from the city center and the railway station on foot. The bathroom is shared with others, but in my case it was clean and proper.'

'Lovely pub/hotel with lots of old world charm. Clean and comfortable in a great location. Stayed for Sunday lunch which was excellent. Bedroom was spacious and had everything you could need. My only very slight negative was the traffic noise, as our room was at the front. '

"Had a family room, pretty dirty room, and no working toilet. The receptionist handled it pretty well though by putting us into 2 2-person rooms, my compliments for that.
For the rest a basic room that does what it needs to do, being a place to stopover and sleep.
Cannot judge breakfast since we had that elsewhere in Cambridge, dinner looked as the regular hotel food stuff: burger, fish and chips etc "
