'Stayed here several times now. Staff have always been super friendly and the rooms are good despite being a little dated. The bar is very friendly, food is good and the hotel is conveniently located for the town centre and railway station.

'We had a fantastic anniversary stay at the Stables. The room and bed was very comfortable and the highlight was the Japanese hot tub in the balcony! It was just perfect! We also enjoyed having dinner at the Bowling Green steakhouse and had breakfast brought to our room by room service. We look forward to staying again.'

'It's such a lovely spot and the room was spacious, super clean and with a view out to the lovely surrounding area. The bed was also very comfy and the pillow too, and this from someone who is princess and the pea with her pillows! I also got a really great rate for my one night stay.'

The only thing to be mindful of is that there is a big step both into the room and the bathroom for those with reduced mobility like myself - this is in addition to the 6 steps i was aware of. There is no aircon or fan so we opened the bedroom and bathroom windows and it was fine. Old school air...

"As always, hospitality is defined by the people who provide it. The hotel staff was magnificent in this regard. From the breakfast servers to the front desk, everyone was kind, helpful and wore a smile. A special mention for the cleaning staff who did an excellent job every morning.
Breakfast was delicious with options such as eggs Florentine and eggs Benedict, although as a continental European i would have liked to have seen some cheeses at the buffet.
What else is there to mention? Free parking, quiet surroundings, the grand manor lies within a well kept garden, good size room with comfortable bed. I will definitely stay in this hotel again on my next trip to Sheffield. "
