'There are two primary reasons I rated this property 3 out of 5 stars. The room and facilities were very nice. However, this is a Springhill Suites, not a Motel 6. I did not expect to hear my neighbors walking on the floor above me, nor did I expect to hear them using the bathroom. This is not what I expect from a well-respected, higher-end chain like Springhill Suites. The other reason I am not completely happy is the parking fees. I knew about the $15/day parking when I reserved the room, but...

'Stayed at Hoyt House in early April. Weather was lousy. Everything else was great. Location is within easy walking distance of restaurants and stores of Fernandino Beach. Everything in the Inn was in top shape, and a lot of thought clearly went into making the guests comfortable. Umbrellas when it rained. A glass of wine in the afternoon. Plenty of places to sit witha book or other activity. '

The historic property was beautifully restored and clearly very well cared for by innkeeper Veronica and her team. Veronica's gourmet breakfasts were a huge treat, different every morning, and served with attention to every detail in the elegant dining room. Veronica was happy to share suggestions on activities and restaurants in the area....

Sunrise breakfast at Sliders is awesome. The unit came equipped with EVERYTHING you need to cook (or bake for that matter). Quiet, comfortable and effortless check-in and checkout. 'This property was extremely underwhelming to say the least. Upon arrival I was given just my checking card and it had two different room numbers written on the card when I asked which one was to clarify the hotel manager looked at me not at his head and pointed a direction I said okay so is this number and he just nodded his head and pointed again. And then walking into the room there was dead bugs in the bed sheets cigarette Burns everywhere mildew all over the walls it was a disgusting Hotel I...

'The room was very clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We had some minor problems with the shower and it was fixed in a short time. We liked that the hotel was within a short walk to the beach. Some good restaurants nearby. Overall it was a great stay. '
