'We loved Dream Villa! It is a beautiful building right in the middle of Galle- you cannot ask for a better location! The room was great, big comfy bed and good a/c. Service was great (we checked in with a young guy who did not speak a lot of English but he was so nice and helpful) and the breakfast was delicious. Thank you Dream Villa!'

'After 11 days travelling through beautiful Sri Lanka, Galle was our last stop. We treated ourselves to Fortaleza Landesi (FL) based on Expedia reviews. Architecturally designed in the Dutch colonial style using mainly recycled materials, a boutique hotel with only 3 oversize bedrooms with high ceilings and the most comfortable bed ever. Check in and breakfast is around the corner at Fortaleza Restaurant therefore FL was a little hard to find as the doors to FL are kept closed fir security. Well...

'If we were designing a suite for ourselves, this would be the blueprint. A large bedroom, extravagantly large bathroom and a spacious walk-in wardrobe / dressing room. All set in a restored 18th century merchant's house. Breakfast was really tasty and the staff were a joy!'
