'Wat een hartelijk welkom van Michael en zijn vrouw. Tot in de puntjes verzorgde kamer, heel netjes en schoon. Een prachtig huis om in te verblijven! Wij zaten in het bijgebouw en onze vrienden in het grote huis. Zo sfeervol! De enige tip die we hebben als verbeterpunt is de waterdruk voor douche en wasbak. Voor de rest is alles voortreffelijk. Genoten van het ontbijt, er wordt alles vers voor je bereid. Dikke aanrader!'

'I usually like Homewood Suites but this one was rough for us. The beds are rock hard— some people like firmer beds, but we were hurting after just one night. The breakfast was the same thing both days which was a bummer. Normally I would like chorizo but it was almost like a chili, it was swimming in so much grease. 'The staff was extremely nice. The only complaint I have is the room smelled like mildew. It's a bed & a bathroom which served it's purpose. It was very clean though. We wanted a room on the beach & that's what it is.'

'This time we stayed in the Cottage. It was a separate unit behind the main house. Easy to enter using the code I was emailed. The cottage was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a claw foot tub and a wraparound shower curtain. The room A/C was excellent. It was very comfortable all day and night. The ceiling fan was whisper quiet. The cottage included a kitchen area with a half-size refrigerator/freezer, counter top, cabinets, tableware, microwave, and a table....

'Convenient walk to the beach with access to chairs/umbrella for an extra $25... There is so much history to this hotel, we enjoyed looking around and just taking in the beauty of it. Enjoyed beautiful bar and some pool time!'

'Clearly a recent building or very well renovated given the paint smell when entering the room (wich was noticeable but gone very quickly when turning on the airconditioning). Very light and modern setting with friendly and helpful staff. Not directly to the beach so you’re located at a more quiet place. 'My husband and I loved our stay at the Carr Mansion! This historical home was charming, clean, and comfortable. Joellyn was a fabulous host; she served delicious breakfast and offered several tips/ recommendations for activities around the island. The location of the home is near to several other historical landmarks/ museums, the Strand, and the Seawall.
