'It was an exceptional experience! Kiki & the entire staff were super friendly & helpful.
We arrived at 10AM & they stored our luggage (no charge) while we went out for the day. Upon returning at 3pm, Kiki walked us to our room where they'd already put our bags. She explained our room key would also unlock the hotel's front door. We appreciated they kept it locked at all times; you could either ring the bell to be let in or use your key.
I selected this hotel for its proximity to the Hollywood...
'Goed hotel/appartement, prima service en ontbijt. Vooral de 24 uur gratis snacks en wasservice is perfect. Super ligging bij walk of fame, dome etc..parkeren kost wat 17 dollar ongeveer per nacht maar geen geld voor die omgeving. Zou het zo weer boeken. Zeer ruime kamers.'

The overall style is a bit darkish but that's in line with the original design. The lobby is fantastic art deco styled. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the pool. The setting is very Hollywood, the cabins, the restaurants, the service. All ace.'

'Staff was very nice, especially the ladies at the morning complimentary breakfast room and the reception desk. Location was good, but when activities were happening at the Bowl, the traffic was terrible; hard for UBER to get to the hotel. Only one elevator was working the entire time we were there. A bit noisy, even with room towards the back of the property. Immediate surrounding areas not attractive. '
'Very close to Hollywood Bpulevard, big room, good beds, easy access to the parking garage, nice pool, easy driving to universal and Warner bros studios. We would definitively book again if we ever go back to LA'
'There’s “unique,” and then there’s Gold-Diggers, a five star boutique hotel above a sound studio and small venue night club. Music is the theme! Vinyl turntable in room. vinyl house gift too, along with drink tokens and access to whatever show is happening downstairs. Incredibly helpful staff, but be prepared, the staff is also working the sound studio and everyone goes home at 6pm. After that you’re on your own, more like a high end hip guest house than a hotel.

'The room was good, although some basic things where missing like a refrigerator and coffee. However the biggest bummer besides the expensive parking was the neighborhood it was located in. Everywhere homeless and very shady people. At night my wife didn't dear to go out cause of this. I'm a smoker myself so i went out regulary just to smoke and stand in front of the hotel where in total 4 times strange folks tried to pull something off. I even get asked by some guy where i had my wallet. The...

"Old and in much need of some TLC, but it also has that charm. Crickets and other bugs and all! Just don't get the room next to the breakfast area, the coffee kettles will wake you up at 5 am!
