'We had problems on 2 consecutive days with the safe in our room which was not functioning. Had to wait some time both mornings till an engineer came to fix since all our stuff was inside. We were not compensated, which would have been a nice gesture. All receptionists were a bit grumpy and not really focussed on giving the best service possible with a smile.
Food at the bar was excellent. Overall we enjoyed SS hotel, the location was perfect.'

'This was a charming boutique hotel with basic creature comforts. For what it lacks in luxury, it redeems itself with service. Thanks especially to Evan for the hospitality during our stay. I would recommend packing lightly. Otherwise, be creative with the use of space as there is no closet nor dresser for wardrobe storage. '

Cons: They charge a huge resort fee to pay when you arrive yet guests are not allowed to use the elevator, only staff can use it to transport luggage (also no cleaning and no breakfast); Terrible WiFi.'

The overall style is a bit darkish but that's in line with the original design. The lobby is fantastic art deco styled. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the pool. The setting is very Hollywood, the cabins, the restaurants, the service. All ace."

"We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad overal zo dichtbij ! Vriendelijk personeel ook. Alleen de badkamer is aan vernieuwing toe en de bank is helemaal door gezakt . We hadden gelezen dat het erg gehoorig was en oordoppen meegenomen dus geen last van gehad . We zouden zeker weer gaan en hopenlijk is de bank dan vervangen en de douche gerenoveerd"
