'We had problems on 2 consecutive days with the safe in our room which was not functioning. Had to wait some time both mornings till an engineer came to fix since all our stuff was inside. We were not compensated, which would have been a nice gesture. All receptionists were a bit grumpy and not really focussed on giving the best service possible with a smile.
Food at the bar was excellent. Overall we enjoyed SS hotel, the location was perfect.'

'Loved the vibe. Comfy rooms and staff was great. Housekeeping seemed a bit under staffed, but I imagine the ICE raids in LA have had an impact there. Sweet but very small pool. Biggest downside was the food - very limited menu and limited hours. '

'Absolutely fantastic stay! The staff were incredible. Shout out to Benjamin and Benjamin at the bar as well as Aoife who made our stay memorable and entertaining. Very stylish hotel walkable to some great restaurants. Other great restaurants only a 5 minute drive away. '

'Love the comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The hotel has a really nice coffee bar at the lounge that includes a Nesoresso machine. One thing I did not like is their small elevator that does not fit their luggage cart so pack lightly.. Also their valet only parking garage only allows one car to go in or out so you might have to wait for another car to pull out before you can enter.'

'The 60's decor is what attracted me a couple of years ago when I first stayed at the Beverly Laurel hotel. In addition to that it is conveniently located near the Beverly Center and The Grove, perfect for people who enjoy walking. The front desk staff was friendly and they even recognized me from earlier trips! The only thing I missed was housekeeping every day... or maybe every other day... but there were plenty of towels and I keep a clean house and room, so I was okay otherwise. If you like...

'I prefer a local boutique neighborhood hotel to a chain, and The Carlyle Inn delivers that experience. The Robertson-Pico neighborhood is a lively area of LA bordering on Beverly Hills. A well-maintained property overall, the room was spotlessly clean, and the king bed very comfortable. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day. I received free self-parking as a VIP bonus. Tip: use the bath mat when showering; the tub was very slippery. '

The overall style is a bit darkish but that's in line with the original design. The lobby is fantastic art deco styled. The absolute highlight of the hotel is the pool. The setting is very Hollywood, the cabins, the restaurants, the service. All ace."

"We hebben een geweldig verblijf gehad overal zo dichtbij ! Vriendelijk personeel ook. Alleen de badkamer is aan vernieuwing toe en de bank is helemaal door gezakt . We hadden gelezen dat het erg gehoorig was en oordoppen meegenomen dus geen last van gehad . We zouden zeker weer gaan en hopenlijk is de bank dan vervangen en de douche gerenoveerd"
