'Our stay at Masseria Santa Lucia was okay. The accommodation itself is very nice. We booked the Deluxe Suite and were amazed by how nicely newly decorated it was, with high ceilings, lovely bathroom with luxurious shower and comfortable bed. The swimming pool looks equally stunning with modern beach chairs. However, that experience got overshadowed a bit by the unfriendly welcome. 'Our room was beautiful, on two levels with a balcony in front looking towards the centre of old Matera. Breakfast included a variety of Continental options. They even prepared breakfast for us on the last day, when we had to leave early. The service was fantastic, always available to advise us and anticipate our needs. '

'The location is a little away from the main part of town, it's tucked away through the little alleyways. You'll need to be good with stairs to get to and from this place. 'Walking distance of Matura. Very new and complete room with a balcony and free drinks in the fridge. Unfortunately there was no elevator, and the breakfast was not in the building itself. 'This was a wonderful place to stay. The location was perfect as it is close to both Matera Central public transportation and the main Matera town attractions. The hosts were accomodating with our last minute booking and gave a warm welcome. We would stay again. '
