'Matera is not the easiest place to get to in first place. Due to unforeseen circumstances, we had to change plans and arrived by coach bus instead of rental car. The hotel contacted us a couple days before our check in and once they learned about our change if plans, they helpfully pointed out to us that our bus station is actually quite a bit of distance from the hotel. They then booked a taxi for us that waited at the bus station and took us straight into the restricted area inside the old...

'The property itself was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. however, the amenities were not as advertised on Expedia when we booked. There is no on site Parking, no Laundry facilities, and no paid Breakfast as advertised, so be aware if that is what you need when you book.'

'Walking distance of Matura. Very new and complete room with a balcony and free drinks in the fridge. Unfortunately there was no elevator, and the breakfast was not in the building itself. You get a voucher for a bakery around the corner, but it is limited to 2 drinks (coffee and juice) and a sweet and salty product.'
