'We stayed here while attending a wedding in the area and it was great and so easy. The room and bathroom were both comfortable and clean. The lobby and little breakfast area also were clean. This property doesn't have a pool, but the one next door apparently has a pool and hot tub and you can use it during your stay. Lots of parking and it felt safe. It was also quiet during our staff, except Sunday AM when I think a lot of people were leaving. I'll say there's not always someone at the front...

'Loved the scenery around the hotel and easy access to the conference I attended. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was nice and clean. I have only one concern there was no elevator but they gave me a room on the 1st floor and allow for an early check-in with no charge. '

'It's an older, dated property, but it good overall. The swimming pool and hot tub are both large and enjoyable. The staff was fantastic. They only have 2 floors, but no elevator. The guy who checked us in offered to carry our luggage upstairs for us, then provided us towels for the pool. We will be back again tonight because of the great service and convenient location nestled in the mountains '

'Staying at this B&B is a pure treat! There is nowhere you could possibly find a better view. Ann Marie and Dane prepare wonderful breakfasts and great conversation and service. It is off the beaten path so if you love quiet and nature and beauty then this is the place for you. Be sure to leave time to enjoy the experience of being there. You will have regrets if you are just looking for a place to crash for a night. '

'The property is beautiful with spectacular views and lovely woods all around. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious and the portions were generous. The staff took extra time and effort to make sure that everything was just right. They even mailed me an item that I forgot. I highly recommend this great bed and breakfast. '

'Loved the town, the room and the area. They need to work on check in. When we reserved the room, we were told we would receive the door codes 24 hours before check in time. We texted, as we were told to do, about 3 hours before check in to get codes. No response. We texted one hour before check in time so we knew to head that way, no response. We finally called and were told they had been very busy and we could come. Loved the place, but the check in procedure was VERY frustrating.'

'We were wowed the second we walked through the door! The building that houses this hotel is over a 120 years old. Yes, there may be some creaks and groans with everyone wandering around, but it adds to the charm and really helps you live through its history! Each room is unique and has its own flair. We were in the "smallest," room but it was more than adequate to sleep in. There are plenty of other places to lounge and you are free to explore the building. We didn't take advantage of the spa...

'We loved having the private back patio with the amazing view of the mountains surrounding us. The place was clean and the bed was very comfortable. No TVs but it was nice not to have that distraction when you’re surrounded by nature. Definitely recommend if you want a unique experience away from the usual hotel experience. Very close to the Royal Gorge Bridge. '

'The room was very spacious and clean. Finding a place to stay as a family with 4 kids isn't always easy, but our room had a king bed, pull out couch/bed, and full size bunk beds. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be staying here the next time we come through. Only complaint was that it wasn't ready at check in time, but the staff was very nice and reassuring while we waited. The strawberry waffles at breakfast are just the icing on the cake for this hotel!'

"This is one of the hidden gems hotel. We were a little to early, because of the light traffic underway. But we could check in immediately and enter the room. The room was fantastic. Spacious and super clean. Beds were very comfy. Loved the digital doorlock. No worry’s for not working keycards. Breakfast was also great. Lot of choices and very friendly staff. Location is perfect. Close to downtown and highway. If we come back to Salida, we will stay here again !!"
