The place was excellent but the extra kindness with spare toiletries, a baked cookie pie upon arrival, and consistent communication anytime needed throughout our stay was really exceptional. 'Everything was fantastic, there was a strange smell coming from the hot water heater I believe. Smelled like rotten eggs. You may want to replace that as it has been there since 1996. The inside may be rusting'

'This was our second time staying at River Haven. This is the perfect spot for our annual MTB trip.BV trails are just a few miles away and Salida's trails are about 25min. The hot tub and fire chimenea down by the river are some highlights. We hope to be back next year again. Thanks!'

'It was good. It was a little bit of pleasure along with Business. The pillows weren't that great and we really had a hard time figuring out how to use the microwave. Also, they do not have an oven when we travel we like to cook as much as we can, and wine glasses would be a plus if they had them, but other than that it was a very nice stay. It was very quaint and cute and a very nice view. '

'We had an absolutely magical stay for a quiet weekend getaway. The house is remote, the views are breathtaking, the saltwater hottub is hot, and we decided to give cooking a break and the owner, Joyce, made delicious meals for us (Greek lunch - best chicken soup ever; pot roast for dinner; and the absolute best coffee cake we have EVER tasted).
