The hosts are very active and successful artists who all but gave us a private master class in how their work is imagined and created. I don’t know when we’ve had a more delightful weekend. 'My son and I had a great time. Hotel staff at check-in was absolutely fantastic as well as check out. My son and I travel often and he is 11, and he was so impressed with the little goodie bag he was given when we arrived as well as the peppermints in the room, and the fact that there was a cute little tea tray on the bed with tea and cups. The modern appearance of the rooms and bathroom mixed with these things made my son feel very fancy.'

'Morale throughout staff was impressive. Management was impressive: we had a problem and they addressed the situation, corrected the problem. The entire operation is very clean and well-maintained. The luggage rolling carts are very helpful and they have enough! The elevator is great and it plays the opening 2 notes of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.'

'Very quiet, perfect for my short getaway, so peaceful! My second floor room was tucked away and LOVED the large cushy reading chair and ottoman. A/C super quiet! Bed was very comfortable (the pillows were like baby belugas so if you prefer a flatter pillow bring one?). Enjoyed the pool once the weather cooperated, nice and secluded. Suzanne (house manager) is so nice and very accommodating. I’d love to make a return visit! '

'Mother’s Day weekend for a family of 4. From start to finish, the stay was amazing. The check-in was so simple. The room was exactly how the photos showed. It was clean and roomy. The beach is a very short walk away. Even though the pool was not officially open yet, it looked wonderful. We have already decided that we will be coming back in the summer.'

'Beds were soft and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. We loved to have a private beach and the pool. We enjoyed playing ping pong. The only problem they gave us the wrong apartment the first day. What was shown on Expedia (two Queen beds) it wasn't the same of what they gave us there (1 Queen bed and 1 Queen sofa bed). But after talking with the manager, they gave us a solution, but we had to wait until the following day to be switched to the right place. '

'We’ve stayed at several properties in the Greenport area and this was our first time at Silver Sands; we loved it! The rooms were updated, clean and cute. The beach access was a huge plus, as well as on site restaurants. They don’t charge for parking (as some hotels nearby are starting to do) and the location is central to Greenport Village and the wineries. We went for an anniversary trip and stayed in the motel section but would definitely come back with the kids and try out the bungalows!...
