'We loved everything about our stay at Townhead from the glorious views to the cozy and thoughtfully planned house. Communication with the manager and the housekeeping staff before and during the stay was prompt and kind. The welcome drinks and food meant we didn’t have to run into Peebles when we first arrived. We unpacked and would have happily stayed much (much!) longer than a week. It’s a wonderful area to walk and explore but really, you’ll want to stay home and read or write or draw....

'We were a group aged nine to eighty. There was a lot on offer to cater for us all. There were nine of us and the place was big enough for us to spread out and enjoy varying activities. A bus stop outside going into Edinburgh was a bonus. Would highly recommend it. Does Scotland proud!'

'We really enjoyed our stay at Chesnut Cottage ! Very cosy, warm, welcoming little house ! Thank you for welcoming us and our dog ! The Arniston Estate is lovely, very calm. A nice place for walks. Very dark at night, we had the chance to see plenty of stars when the sky was clear enough. The fireplace with everything needed and the bathtube were the cherry on top ! Easy to access from Edinburgh airport. The train station of Gorebridge is also a big plus. 25min by train and you're in the town...

'An excellent property to rent outside of Edinburgh. Perfect for dogs and families. The cottage was warm and well lit when we arrived and the fireplace was already prepped with a basket full of logs. The manager of the property was very friendly and she came over to introduce herself and check we had everything we needed. Strongly recommend and will be going back.'
