'Lovely, beautiful little old fashioned lodge for self-catering tucked away behind thick gardens abutted to a lovely old building on the outskirts of Alnwick. Its self-catering and had everything we needed, including good TV choice for the evenings and a strong wi-fi (in the lounge but not in kitchen). We just felt so at ease and relaxed in the evenings there. It may not be for everybody, say for example, those that like things to look modern. But for us with an eye to more homely back-in-the-day...

'Lovely flat in the centre of Berwick. We only used the car a couple of times as we could walk everywhere. Very relaxing flat I could sit and watch a seagull raising her young. Two grey balls of fluff. We also had a great view of the Coldstream Guards marching up the street and back again.'
