'Reviews I read were pretty accurate - the elevator smells funny like burning rubber and the place is a little sad - the noise from the interstate is constant. But for the price it was a decent room that was clean. The very best part of our stay was the delicious Mexican restaurant, Jalapenos, that was just outside the door. Worth the stay just for that!'

'My mother and I stayed overnight for a wedding. We needed to check in before 4pm so we could change and be at the wedding on time. I called the front desk and spoke to Mary. 'The inside of the house has been remodeled and done very nicely. Perfect place for 2 couples looking to spend time at Starved Rock Park. The only negative I can have on this property is, they advertised that there is WIFI and when I asked to get the password, I never heard from the owner again. Otherwise great experience.'
