'the hotel is well located but the service is poor. staff is friendly and helpful but the hotel seems badly managed - we were given wrong information and when there was a problem with the room it took a very long time to sort out. moreover, the hotel did not take into account whether the timing of the repair was suitable for us (i.e. when we were out) - we were told they would come at 10 so we planned accordingly, but the repair man only turned up at 1. the lifts work intermittently.'

'Hotel was good and the staff were helpful. One significant issue was an activity organized through the hotel. We were signed up to go to a football game at Maracanã. We were picked up at 4, got to the stadium at nearly 7 and then were told our tickets weren’t valid. We were abandoned by our host without a word and another person came over to help who couldn’t speak English.
