Incredibly disappointing experience at this hotel. The staff at the beach bar were so unhelpful and took over an hour to complete a simple order – which they only did once I went to reception to complain. Really horrible and expensive food with limited choice (I had read about this before going but it was worse than I expected). Far from luxury with beach beds in a messy organisation on the beach front and not enough of them for all the guests. The only nice thing was the hotel room. Don't waste your money!

Un lugar de descanso .. nos encanto, la persona encargada de las actividades es muy atenta carismatica y talentosa. Mi esposo se sintio mal y la enfermera que tienen en las premisas lo atendio, cada detalle fue excelente. La playa y las instalaciones son hermosas

Pésimo servicio e intentan estafar a los turistas
El servicio del hotel a la llegada fue pésimo, intentaron cobrarnos casi 1 millón de pesos más, alegando un supuesto IVA que debíamos, pero lo curioso es que solo lo cargaban a una habitación y no a la otra. Nos tocó pelear por este cargo incoherente y nos enteramos que no fuimos los primeros turistas a los que les hacían esto. Se nota la mala fe del hotel, al intentar estafar a sus huéspedes, destruyeron desde el inicio nuestra experiencia, lo cual es muy triste porque el hotel y las habitaciones son hermosas, pero por la forma que nos trató Viviana en recepción y Yessica por teléfono, insultando mi inteligencia y la de mis acompañantes, hace que no recomiende NUNCA este lugar.

Esperamos que se encuentre muy bien.De verdad que no entendemos de que estaba esta hablando, si todos los colombianos fuimos avisados el 22 de diciembre del 2022, por redes sociales, noticias, radio, prensa etc… que a partir del 1 de enero del 2023, se volvería a cobrar el IVA, por lo cual todo colombiano que desee utilizar SERVICIOS DE ALOJAMIENTO Y HOSPEDAJE, deberá pagarlo en el momento de reservar o en el recinto.Esta es la emisión de la norma, que COTELCO, informo a nivel nacional: REGRESA LA TARIFA DEL 19% PARA SERVICIOS DE ALOJAMIENTO DESDE EL 1 DE ENERO DE 2023. La tarifa de IVA exento actual solo fue establecida de manera transitoria y aplicará hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2022 de conformidad con la Ley 2155 de 2021 en su artículo 65 numeral 4 que prorrogó lo indicado en el artículo 45 de la Ley 2068 de 2020. Por lo anterior, el IVA que empezará a regir desde el 1 de enero de 2023, que se debe facturar por el servicio de alojamiento y hospedaje es del 19% que es la tarifa general.Por lo que evidentemente, la estafa fue realizada por ustedes, que se negaron a pagar el IVA y los servicios adicionales.Pasándose de listos en todo momento, maltratando nuestro personal de forma verbal y haciendo caso omiso a la obligación tributaria. Su compañero de viaje, le indico que dejara de discutir, que todo estaba claro y que usted no podía seguir actuando de esa manera, pues estaba equivocada y el hotel tenía razón; es decir, que él era consiente, que usted estaba intentando estafar a la recepcionista, intimidándola con sus comentarios, para que ella cediera ante su petición indelicada. Para todo este asunto, usted hizo caso omiso a la plataforma bajo la cual reservo, al hotel y a la norma colombiana, porque al final se salió con la suya y se fue sin pagar el IVA, por lo cual los estafados fuimos nosotros como hotel, que presto sus servicios a personas poco respetuosas.

Overall this was a really great hotel and experience, but we have a few thoughts after our stay. Pros: - One of the most stunning hotels I’ve ever traveled to, and for an affordable price. - The beachfront bungalows are gorgeous and recently updated, they have AC and comfortable amenities. - Eder & Sergio at the bar. And the piña coladas. Delightful - STUNNING swimming area, crystal clear water and soft white sand. Exceeded our expectations - Wifi was surprisingly strong throughout the resort - HIGHLY recommend the bioluminescence plankton excursion – one of the coolest things we’ve ever done! Mehs: - The food was just ok. It certainly was not anything special, but also not the worst I’ve ever had traveling. Definitely could use some improvement. - There is a charge for every single activity, even kayaking, paddle boarding, or snorkeling on-site Cons: - The music. Plays nonstop from ~10am - midnight every day. - The boat ride back to Cartagena. Wow, it was so rough. We were soaked and actually fearful for about 30 minutes of the 2 hour ride. Some previous reviews mention this, and our ride to the island was pretty calm, so we thought people were exaggerating. They were not. It was very scary and felt unsafe at times. This isn't totally the fault of the resort, but I feel like it should be addressed given reviews. Maybe leaving earlier? Overall, the pros beat the cons and this is a beautiful and unique stay. Not sure we will return just because of the boat transportation.

This is a Beautiful retreat at toetips distance from the beach, sexy music joyous activities and relaxing setting. Food choices are not bad but can improve a tad. What I liked the most is the diverse and inclusive environment. Very worth the trip.

I loved how eco friendly the place really is. Great for a romantic get away. The transportation to and from the island is not great. The boat takes in a lot of water and you will be soak and wet both going and coming.

Très belle chambre, très confortable, au calme, face à la mer avec des transats privés. Environnement extérieur magnifique. Personnel sympathique dans l'ensemble. Buffet lassant après deux jours de séjour. Nous avons été très déçus par la sortie plancton luminescent organisée par l'hôtel. Nous étions 25 clients, tous à l'eau en même temps, tassés les uns sur les autres dans un petit espace, pendant à peine 15 minutes. Difficile d'apprécier le côté magique de cette découverte dans ces conditions. De plus je doute fortement de la sécurité à 25 personnes en pleine nuit sur ce type d embarcation. Pour les activités, vous pouvez passer directement par les gens du village. Pour le même prix vous aurez une excursion privée ou semi privée. Il serait bien dans ce type d établissement que la personne chargée de l'accueil et des animations parle un minimum anglais ou fournisse un livret écrit en espagnol ou anglais.

Honestly, meh
I have travelled extensively in Colombia in the last 4 months, and i have to say, this hotel had the least friendly staff (Crespa and Tyson were nice). Not that the staff is rude or anything, but it seemed like everyone is tired of their job there. Most of the little beaches in front of beach-front "rooms" had rocks or corals. Also, be aware, the property is VERY large, and depending on which "room" you're staying in, it can be quite a walk to the restaurant or the bar. We were fine, but certainly, can be an issue for some. Upon arrival, you're greeted with a welcome drink, they sit you down, and tell you different information about tours, the hours of restaurant/bar, etc., all of which could've been included in a confirmation email. Then you make a line to check in with the only one person checking you in. At this point, everyone from the boat is already here. It would have been more efficient to check in as people are still arriving from the boat, so the first people to get off the boat could be the first people to check in. The hotel offers tours like plankton and snorkeling. For plankton tour, we had to gather at 6pm, and it was a manual hand written process of copying names from one piece of paper (we signed up for a tour upon arrival) to another.. Add that to a dragged on check in, and it's easily 2 hours wasted if you arrive to the island at 12-1pm. Compared to my stays on other islands, not coming back to this one.

Rustic Island in the Colombian Caribbean.
Nice remote rustic paradise island in the Colombian Caribbean. Beach and sea are beautiful. No beach towels and no cushioned beach beds. Restricted use of water. No hot water. Service is ok but not amazing. Food is good but many out of stock options from the menu. Many options for watersports and day tours. Good place to disconnect. Transportation from Tolu is ok but be prepared to land in the beach instead of the dock so feet may get wet and beach in Tolu is not nice. Better to travel light.

Agradable estadia tiempo en familia, descanso y mar. La atencion desde la recepcion excelente muy atentos todos. Por mejorar mas opciones para desayuno y almuerzo porque son buffet y por ser un hotel resort el valor es alto. Al igual la pasamos muy bien. Volveria. 😀
