'This self-acclaimed hotel closed a year ago in a totally run-down state. Some four months ago it was bought by a new (US citizen) owner who is trying to rebuild the place. Currently there is one room that looks quite okay, however there is no reception, no personnel apart from a local housekeeper. The problem starts with the entrance. 'Laguna de Apoyo is truly a paradise location. Birds and sometimes monkeys and iguanas coming close.The next door hotel is not functioning, so the place is quite calm.Swimming in the Laguna is a incredible treat!Unfortunately 'La Giralda' really needs investment and renovation.The air conditioning is so noisy that it is impossible to use.
