It was immaculately clean (altho keep in mind you are in the tropics and bugs will always find a way in!) and well furnished. Check in with Gabriel was seamless once we found the house. 'This self-acclaimed hotel closed a year ago in a totally run-down state. Some four months ago it was bought by a new (US citizen) owner who is trying to rebuild the place. Currently there is one room that looks quite okay, however there is no reception, no personnel apart from a local housekeeper. The problem starts with the entrance. 'My family and I spent a couple of days in this location. The house is big and modern with great amenities. The staff are friendly, helpful, and polite. Mr. Mario was an excellent host. Always attentive to our needs and gave excellent recommendations on cigar lounges. We will come back.'
