'This property is andventure into the past of Old NYC when servers and staff dressed in white jackets and used extremely polite language to bring tou back to a time of elegance. The hotel elevators were only big enough for 4 people at a time and the mail shoot is still in use the eating areas were opulant and decorated with fine art and beautiful china. It was a visit back to the time when going to NYC was oh such a fine experience.'

"Modern en schoon. Vriendelijk personeel. Geen eigen restaurant, maar prima koffie en croissants in het bakkerijtje beneden, met terrasje buiten.
Metro en Central Park op 5 minuten lopen. Veel restaurantjes en supermarkt om de hoek. Met de metro in 10 minuten op Times Square.
Upper West is iets rustiger dan down town, dus fijn om even bij te komen van een dag hectisch NYC!"
"Good place next to time square, clean hotel, good beds, rooms for 4 persons aren somewhat small if you have suitcases, but doable. Breakfast is proper and included (just missing basic options for bread such as cheese and ham).
The elevator situation especially around breakfast time is terrible. There are 5 elevators for over 30+ floors. If you are below level 20 there is a fair chance that you have to wait +10 mins for a elevator thats not full.
Further is the rooftop bar not just to but you must take a table. Outside space is limited, while inside the airco is on turbo.
Staff in general is nice, there is a basic but well maintained gym and they offer taxi services in case u need one to the airport. Conclusion, eventhough the elevator situation I would return."

It’s the perfect base for exploring New York, with major attractions and public transportation all within easy walking distance. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The only downside was the $100 per hour charge for late checkout, which felt a bit steep. That said, we absolutely enjoyed our time here and would gladly come back!"
