'Beautiful lake and they offered free use of kayaks, canoes, SUPs, etc. The staff was amazing. From the server at the little restaurant who seated us late, to the folks at the front desk (that’s you, Dan!) who heard my friend had asked for chai tea, so they went out to the store and bought it just for her. Relaxing setting and a perfect bday getaway. '

'Paul is a wonderful host and the house is fantastic. Our teens loved playing air hockey and ping pong with us and we had several “tournaments” during our stay. The house has everything you need and being able to relax in the spa at the end of a long day hiking is wonderful. We hope to be back soon. '

'Ligt goed voor uitstapjes naar bv White Mountains en Mt Washington. Outlet is ook vlakbij. Iedere kamer heeft een zitje buiten. Beheerders/eigenaren zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam. '

'Dit hotel is werkelijk fantastisch. Het is volgens mij redelijk nieuw. De kamers zijn ruim en teven voorzien van een keuken met werkelijk alles. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid voor Amerikaanse begrippen. '

'We enjoyed our four day stay to the Fox Ridge resort, though it does appear this resort has started to become more rundown compared to the years prior that we have visited. The customer service was excellent, there was always a smile when we were greeted, and a thorough explanation upon our check-in of all the amenities available. We would definitely stay here again, though I hope they consider replacing the carpet to an easier to clean flooring in the future! That would certainly help improve...

'The Golden Gables Inn appears to be an older Inn that has been renovated and the room which we were had what looked like all new furniture and the bathroom which was sort of small but again completely renovated. The price was competitive considering that it was peak summer travel period when we stayed. The only thing missing was a breakfast... '

"Our experience was a mixed bag. Check in was good; the British lady was lovely and friendly. The room was nice and spacious and everything was clean and functional. However, the floors are made of wood and carry a lot of noise. We had a family with small children staying in the room above ours and it was like a herd of elephants was stomping around up there. The pool and hot tubs could do with a good scrubbing. The water in the pool was mucky and not very inviting. All went southways however when the fire alarm sounded a 7 AM in the morning. All the guests left their room and gathered outside but THERE WAS NO STAFF IN SIGHT. No one told us what was going on or what we were supposed to do. When we made a complaint about the poor communication around the fire alarm when we checked out the guy at the counter didn't even bother to look at me. It was a very disappointing ending to what otherwise had been a pretty decent experience. Do better! "
