'Helaas kregen wij een kamer zonder uitzicht op de baai. Dat was wel de hoofdreden dat we deze lodge boekten. De kamer heeft te weinig ruimte om je spullen kwijt te kunnen, er staat 1 stoel en 2 bagagehouders maar er is geen kast of kastje of iets anders te bekennen om je kleding of spullen op kwijt te kunnen. De badkamer was heel erg klein, vooral de doucheruimte. Bovendien was het ontbijt maar tot half 9 en dit was ons bij aankomst niet verteld. Toen wij daardoor het ontbijt gemist hadden was...

'Property is in prime location to kenai/soldotna area. We used it as a base to travel around the kenai peninsula. Great view with subtle parking place. Freezer was great to store fish. Plenty of bathroom and beds for our group. '

'At arrival confusion prevailed. Not only had we already paid online through VRBO but also had to pay again upon arriving. Host had not received anything in account from VRBO, Host assured there would be a reimbursement, but there appeared to be a disconnect between lodge and VRBO. Actions are still pending. Room was cold until space and wall heaters were turned on. Slight leak under front of toilet. Room was rustic and comfortable. Location to fishing on Kasilof River is extremely good.'

'We loved the many cozy bunks at the lodge, which were way more comfortable than we expected! It is a little ways out of town in a residential area, so not walkable to anything, but has everything a group or large family would need, including kitchen, 2 bathrooms and laundry. We mostly only used it as a crashpad for our Seward adventures, but wish we spent more time there! Definitely quirky and unlike any other place we've stayed before, but a universal family favorite from our trip.'

'Pictures on Expedia showed houses at the beach but ours was inside the country. Yes we could see the sea but only 20%of the window. Rest was roof and trees. We didn't see the owners. There was no personal talk only emails. Looks like owners were hiding. Room was small. In our 4 weeks Alaska this was the most expensive and smallest room. Only Queensize bed. Kingsize would, 't fit. During our 3 night stay there was no housecleaning at all. '

'Hosts are friendly and accommodating. The property and amenities exceeded expectations.Kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms were well stocked with essentials.The decor and furniture were top notch. Gas grill was ready to go and an outdoor fire pit with multiple chairs and a picnic table. Beautiful quiet outdoor Alaskan neighborhood. We did not want to leaveConvenient to the Reindeer Hut which has excellent food , ice cream and beverages. Also close to Three Bears for food and supplies. '

'Paul is a fantastic host and the property is top notch. Only caveat is that you may be sharing common spaces with other guests.'
