'Our family had the best time in Alexandria and DC proper with The George as our homebase. Beds were very comfortable, living space and linens were all fresh and clean. The property is very close to a Safeway grocery store and with all the amenities The George offered we could easily prepare meals. 'The place was great. 10 minute walk to Metro, Chewish deli next door is a great, easy breakfast. Parking wasn't difficult (if you can parallel park), even with 5-6 spaces closed due to construction. I would bring a sleep mask if you want to sleep in. A lot of windows high up that don't have blinds/curtains, and it can get bright in the morning. '

'This home is great for enjoying Old Town Alexandria. It’s in the heart of Old Town, walking distance to bars, restaurants and the water. The courtyard is great for happy hour noshing and wine, before a yummy seafood dinner. The house is well equipped, uses a Kuerig so bring K Cups or CVS and Trader Joe’s are just around the corner. Also coffee and breakfast at Tatte is just steps out from the back driveway. DCA is 10-15 min Uber or taxi from the house. Enjoy the history of the area and GW’s...

Proximity to King St was exactly what we hoped for - very convenient for public transportation, restaurants, shops, waterfront, etc. The property is very clean and the beds are super comfortable. We appreciated the standalone home in the midst of connected row houses - no noise from sharing walls with neighbors. 'Property was located in a residential area and was clean and quiet. The business district with many stores and restaurants was about a 20 minute walk away and the Old Town area was also within a short walk.The house was clean, comfortable and well stocked with supplies, but a toaster would have been nice to have. The beds were warm and comfortable.We enjoyed our stay in Alexandria.'
