'Value for money. Hotel is older but clean. Good location in center of Kendal. Good full English breakfast.'

'The hotel is located near the train station. Carlisle in itself gave me an unpleasant feeling. After 7 pm all shops and almost all restaurants were closed and I noticed som people gathering near the station. Hotel staff however gave me a nice welcome and an overall safe feeling.'

'This is an excellent house in superb state of repair with very good quality furniture. It is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The booking process was simple and Martin Wardle of the agents was extremely helpful. The house is situated in a village which is very near Kendal, the lakes and just over one hour to the Solway coast. There are some very good dining places in the area with our favourite being The Watermill Inn which has its own micro brewery producing very tasty beers. All in all...

'Comfortable weeklong stay. Good rooms, friendly staff, clean washrooms. Location also quite decent. Some really nice trails nearby. A bus stop nearby and ample parking for guests'
