'By far, the best hotel in the area. (I read the reviews on the others & every one had reports of bugs within the past year!!) Very clean. QUIET. Rarely can I find a hotel where something in the room isn't waking me up all night...buzzing fridge, rattling a/c, etc. NOTHING in the room woke me up for the 2 nights I was here. 'We really enjoyed staying at The Monte Vista during the Sourwood Festival. It was great to walk to town to eat and attend the festival. The hotel is old but very charming. It has a lot of stairs and no TV in some rooms, so be sure to book a room accordingly.'
