'The Tennyson Room (Room 5) was beautiful. The view was stunning, there were no irritations (wonky toilet seats, blown light bulbs, badly scratched paintwork etc.) at all. The receptionist was a great guy - good for a laugh and engaging. Breakfast excellent.
Believe me - we are coming back it was superb. I have no connections with this place at all. It was so much better than the top of the range place we stayed at in Anglesey 2 weeks ago and cost £70 less.

'The inn is ideally positioned between Ambleside and Windermere with views of the lake from the restaurant. We had a room without a view but it was quiet and very clean. The room had tea and coffee facilities as well as heating you could adjust yourself if needed. The beds were very comfortable and bathroom spotless. My only issue was the smoke alarm on the ceiling flashed throughout the night meaning the room lit up blue which was very annoying but I’m unsure how you could stop this.
