Fantastic Home
We had a lovely family stay here, 3 generations absolutely loved the house and had a great time. It is very well laid out, with both double rooms in particular enjoying a bit of privacy. The two twin rooms are close together and share a bathroom which was perfect. It was clean and tidy to the level you expect of a well loved home. It definitely feels like it has a personality rather than just being a pristine white box! The kitchen is very modern and well-equipped with everything you need and more (ice maker on the fridge!). The covered terrace was the absolute selling point for us and meant we could still enjoy being outside when it rained. The bluetooth speakers were brilliant and the sound was quite contained. There is plenty of room for 8 people in every part of the property and we never felt cramped. The pool is fab and very warm, with sun beds and a gate to keep secure from smaller kids. It’s a really short and level walk to a large supermarket and not much further to the seafront which has numerous restaurants and bars to enjoy, all of them very accommodating to families. The village has lovely shops and if you fancy a further walk round the coast path you get to the absolutely gorgeous marina area which has a fab market on Wednesdays and Saturdays and plenty of restaurants. The booking process was so easy and Therese was very kind and helpful. We all said we would definitely stay again!

Fantastic Villa
Theresa was a brilliant host of this property. She gave us loads of great information. Great use of the tennis court. The back gate was a game changer for us as it meant we didnt have to walk all the way around the street. Overall a brilliant stay and a great host. Thank you Theresa.

Excellent villa for adults and kids alike!
8 of us (2 families) had a wonderful stay at Squid House over the half term holidays. The villa was perfect in size, wonderful indoor and outdoor space, and the pool and aminities were great! The added touches (drinks on arrival, coffee pods, pool toys, beach towels) were a really well appreciated, and made for a stress free arrival! Location was also incredible, and we had many outings to the local beaches and restaurants. The kids loved the nearby football pitch and courts, while car and bike hire was also in walking distance. I would definitely recomend - 5 stars from us!

Therese had the most complete welcome amenities we have ever seen. The location of the home is very close to the center of Playa Blanca. We enjoyed the heated pool. Although I suggest having a car this home is near the central bus station. For us this home worked very well.

Fantastic new year stay
We had a fantastic time at the Squid Housef over new year. On arrival the house was dressed for the festive period. It was a nice touch - if not a bit surreal - seeing a Santa riding a dolphin tree bobble whilst it was 24 degrees outside! The welcome basket on arrival was one of the best we’ve ever had - a great selection of wine and fizz. The villa itself was even better than the pictures. It had everything we needed. The master bedroom is huge and it has its own separate door out into the garden. The pool area was great and our kids absolutely loved it. The outside shower was a nice touch as we could rinse them off after playing in the pool. There was a great selection of pool and garden toys. The outdoor seating area was our favourite part of the villa. During the day it was a great place to relax and in the evening we enjoyed having drinks - watching the fireworks go off over Playa Blanca was one of the highlights of our trip. The kitchen was really well stocked and the fridge and freezer had tons of space. We didn’t cook much however everything needed was there if we’d wanted to. The location was brilliant also. Exiting the garden gate meant it was around a 5 minute walk to the hiperdino supermarket area (turning left) or the port end of the front (turning right). We hired a car but in reality only used it to transport large bottles of water - it wasn’t needed. Therese was a fantastic host and we’d throughly recommend a stay at the Squid House!

Our 1st time staying at The Squid House july 2023 and what a great villa, indoor layout spacious with a good amenities and flow out to the outdoor terrace, garden, pool area. Location fantastic with the town, promenade, beach, shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, virtually on your doorstep. Bus station within 100yrds servicing all your trips further afield, as an example 5 adults 2 children 17euro return puerto del carman. 30 min journey. Taxi from rubicon marina to villa 4 euros. Lots of options all round. We will be back..

Lovely Holiday
We stayed at Squid House as a party of 4 adults and 2 young children. The house is wonderful, very well equipped and in a great location. Therese was excellent as a host and provided us with lots of very useful information prior to our arrival. We had a couple of issues when we got there which Therese resolved as soon as she was able. I would definitely stay again.

Wonderful stay, generous host! House just keeps on giving!
It was the perfect Villa for our group family holiday. The quality of the house is excellent such as the new kitchen refurb and en-suite bathrooms. We loved that there were cold refreshments and household amenities all available, a drinks cabinet and a little outdoor bar that was just added before we arrived. Heated pool was great for the little one and it was cleaned twice during our stay. Beach toys and towels also a big plus! It can get a bit warm in the communal spaces in the house but we didn’t mind relaxing outside in the seating area with the blankets provided. Great location!

Everything was exactly as promised, more so in the sense that the villa is so well equipped - plenty of pots and pans and well stocked cupboards in the Kitchen, TV with UK channels, Netflix etc, and lots of outdoor space to sit and enjoy lunch in the sunshine. All in all, a perfect mid winter break.

Home from home!
Therese is a wonderful host, she was easily contactable and always replied immediately. The villa is very large with lots of personal touches, including christmas trees, a gift bag and very well stocked drinks cabinet and complimentary toiletries. The beds were super comfy, beautiful gardens and pool. The location is great, approx 7 minutes stroll to the sea front and harbour. An abundance of restaurants and bars, the ferry trip to Corralejo and trip up Mount Timanfaya a must. Rancho Texas is a fab zoo to visit for the kids. We went for christmas and the temperature was around 25 degrees every day. I would absolutely recommend this villa. 10/10.

Fab villa in great location
Villa is beautifully equipped and full of character. Location is great for the whole Playa Blanca area, central from bus station & main front but also central for Playa Flamingo and Rubicon. Best suited to families and big groups as area can be a little noisy for retirees like us :-)

Perfect family holiday villa- great location
We had a fabulous holiday as an extended family group -the space and location were perfect- 5/19 mins to plenty of bars restaurants and the seafront. The private pool and gardens were delightful, the large master bedroom perfect for a family of three, the second bedroom great for a couple and the other two perfect for sharing. Tue owner was helpful responsive and the Lanzarote manager the same. We would definitely return!

Brilliant Stay - Excellent Property and Location
This was our second stay, with the previous one being in 2019 before the craziness of covid. On arrival it was exactly how we remembered it, with the great addition of a pool table to keep the kids and bigger kids (adults) happy. The villa is clean throughout and has everything you need. Location wise, it was already a 10-15 minutes from everywhere but there is an added bonus with the new through road at the back of the villa which means you are now literally less than 5 minutes from the nearest supermarket and 10 minutes from the town centre or the opposite end where the ferry port is. It is also now only a 15 minute walk to the Aqualava water park. The pool is well kept and the kids loved it in there. The outdoor speakers are also great for during the day by the pool and night when relaxing in the garden of a night. I cannot rate the villa highly enough and would love to return again one day. Thanks to Therese for letting us stay at your beautiful villa.

Amazing Villa
This really is a home from home with a fantastic location. It has everything you need from washing machine, dishwasher and all many of cooking utensils. The pool was lovely, my kids loved being in ot daily and the outdoor space was amazing. It had everything you would need and was spotlessly clean. A great week had and won't he our last time visiting.

Loved Squid House the layout of the property is great. We travelled as 2 couples and a single adult so having a bathroom each was great. Spent a lot of time on the lovely terrace where there is enough seating for everyone - as there is in the lounge. Nice 5 to 10 minute easy walk into town so no need to have a car. Would definitely go back to this villa and highly recommend it.

Lovely villa and great location....
Arrival and entering the villa went to plan thanks to Therese's detailed instructions sent prior to arrival. The villa is wonderful, everything you need from the well equipped kitchen to the fab music system which was great whilst lazing around the pool. It is only a 5 minute walk to the nearest supermarket & 10 minutes walk to sea front with all the various restaurants, shops....etc. We wouldn't hesitate in booking again - thank you Therese for letting us stay at your villa.

Excellent large villa in a great location
Villa is in a great location being only a short walk into playa Blanca centre The villa itself is large and well laid out with plenty of space for all the family Pool is large and very clean with plenty of sun lounges bbq and bar area are a bonus as is the shady Terrance where you can enjoy a cool beer while sitting on the ample furniture and outdoor sofas Ample kitchen with very handy washing machine and large fridge which was a boon The only gripe would be the poor electricity supply which soon became evident when we switched on the aircon units these tripped very easily It was also impossible to have more than 2 appliances on at the same time otherwise everything tripped It certainly didn't spoil our stay at the villa but it was something we had to deal with everyday I spoke with the owner regarding the situation and was told some upgrading was or had been done to the electric supply recently so probably a temporary blip but apart from that we would certainly love to book this villa again Many thanks

It Really Does Have It All...
We had a fantastic Holiday at The Squid House! It is in a fantastic location, which was only a 10 minute walk into the centre of town for our 2-year old. There is so much space around the Villa that if you do need a time out (for whatever reason) you can take yourself off for some quiet time. Although the pool isn't as big as most others in the area, it had more than enough space for us (4 x Adults & 1 x Toddler, plus inflatables). For a family, it really does have it all as well... Large Cot, Travel Cot, Highchair, Bed Guard, small Buggy, etc. It was an added benefit to also be provided with Tea, Hand, Bath and Pool Towels! Finally, Therese was fantastic to deal with from start to finish!

Lovely Villa
From the first contact with Therese I was very impressed. The Villa description was accurate and all the information clear .The Villa is lovely and airy with great outdoor relaxing spaces near the pool and eating and lounging furniture . Inside the bedrooms are clean and everything you need is provided . Music , Tv , DVD, games and a drinks cabinet . Utility room for laundry and well equipped kitchen .One of our party has stayed at Squid House several times and recommended it for our group. I can certainly agree it is a great place to stay .

'Wonderful holiday experience'
Our family party consisting of three generations have just returned from an excellent holiday experience having stayed at Squid House, Playa Blanca. A lovely villa, having a very spacious, well planned layout which is generously equipped. Having a heated swimming pool and excellent outside covered terrace for relaxing or alfresco dining was particularly enjoyable for all concerned. Our grandchildren also got plenty of use playing in the spacious garden area with children's play house and slide. Comfortable modern ensuite bedrooms with extra's such as slippers, robes and toiletries, even 'mini squid' robes for the little ones further enhance the relaxed vibe one experiences staying in Squid House. The villa is also very well located being within close proximity of supermarkets, shops, restaurants and two beautiful child friendly beaches.Very good communication with the owner Therese who provided us with reliable recommendations including our airport transfer needs-First Minute Transfers. Wonderful holiday experience had by all, so not surprisingly have already provisionally booked for next year.

Beautiful house well equipped quiet location lovely week!
3 couples staying for a week in February for a special birthday. Squid House perfect for us. Spacious accommodation, 3 bathrooms and private sleeping areas meant we all had plenty of space. The living areas and outside spaces were very stylishly furnished and comfortable. Everything was there including lots of extras. Despite the not perfect weather, we were outside most of the time using the large covered sitting and eating areas. The lovely warm blankets were a welcome addition inside and out! Beautiful views of sunrise and sunset and the sound of the breeze in Las Brisas palm trees. 5 minutes walk to village and shops. Thanks Therese.

A GEM of a home. All the comforts you need.
This home is huge. Very spacious and well laid out. Lots of extras from mini toiletries in the bathrooms to suncream in the outside bar. So many places to sit outside. Huge table next to the bar under cover and another in the pool area. Ten minute walk down to the shops , restaurants and beach. We can’t wait to go back. It’s perfect.

Fabulous villa clean, comfortable and very well equiped. The outside space is fantastic really well designed and comfortable table chairs and lounging areas. Pool well heated so we could even use in January. All of the beds were really comfortable and lots of extra like slippers, robes and toiletries provided. A real home from home. The use of the tennis courts was a real bonus for us , played for hours daily for free. The location was great just 5 minutes walk to town and beach. this is our favourite part of Playa Blanca excellent restaurants very reasonable prices especially if you come in a street or two from the front and look for the small family run restaurants. Wonderful holiday in a fabulous villa.

Great, well sized villa. Lovely pool
We stayed as a group of 8, including 2 children. The villa was ideal for us. The pool was great, we all loved it. AC in the bedrooms worked fantastically well, slight downside was not having AC in the main sitting room. Also in a great location, just a short walk to some great restaurants and the beach in Playa Blanca. Also very close to the mini golf which was a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Overall great place and good value for price in prime August season when we stayed.

Just back from 2 excellent weeks at squid house. Perfect location. Kids loved the pool which can be locked for peace of mind and also had satellite tv. This meant a nice relaxing holiday for everyone. Few minutes walk and your in middle of town with choice of restaurants and bars also within walking distance to beaches. Any queries I had before travelling were answered within a short period about if time. Really had an excellent stay and will rebook this villa when we go back to playa Blanca.

A lovely family villa to come and relax in equipped with everything and more you could ask for. A short t walk to beach and town centre. We highly recommended the South Island tour and submarine safari. A great place to stay and hopefully will return in the near future 😊

Villa was great
What a lovely villa. Very quiet in a corner but a short walk to the main part of Playa Blanca. The ample wifi, internet radio provided and outside speakers were utilised all day long for a wonderful relaxing space, and on a couple of evenings on the veranda for entertaining BBQ's. The villa far exceeded my expectations and I would happily book again if I return to Playa Blanca. We even lucked out arriving on the day of a carnival with parade and stage show. Great holiday.
