'My 27 year old son and I came to visit Donegal, the ancestral home of his father’s family. We spent 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed Buncrana. We drove up to Malin Head through stunning scenery and visited sites in and around Buncrana. Julie was a kind and accommodating host. 'The Hideaway is a treasure! The pictures cannot capture how cool and special this place is! We stayed in the house which was very comfortable for our family of 4. We enjoyed the hot tub and the Shebeen. Truly the best part of the stay was the incredible hospitality of our hosts, Grainne and Pat and their family. Highest recommendation for the Hideaway!'

'House was clean ( 4 big spiders but they don't count) GREAT view, instructions everywhere so we worked out how everything worked, only thing missing I would say was a T-bag squeezer lol We'd go back in a heartbeat. :) '

'Bay view. We stayed at this house at the end of August 2025. The pictures online are accurate and the house is both large and well situated but slightly dated. Note that there is also a smaller rental property at the back of an agricultural shed at the back of the property. This is owned and managed by the proprietor but is not signposted so may lead to confusion. We had one European renter actually walk into our house during our stay asking for directions and then aggressively implying that...
