'We needed a place to stay after flying in and before driving to La Fortuna the next day but wanted something more authentic/local than the American chains. This place suited our needs. It really is a little oasis in the middle of a pretty run down block on the edge of Liberia. The barbed wire and high fence surrounding the property shocked us a bit, but the rooms all face inwards around a beautiful garden and lovely pool, patio, and hot tub. We felt secure because of the fence and gated parking....

'The hotel was sparse but absolutely clean and comfortable. It was a short walk to restaurants, and staff gave me a great rundown of restaurant options. The morning coffee in the lobby was outstanding, and the garden was peaceful. A simple, lovely first night in Costa Rica.'
