  • Casa da Olga is een huisje met een slaapkamer met een eigen traditionele binnentuin met druivenranken, bloembedden, vetplanten en cactussen in potten - een geweldige plek om te zonnebaden op de ligstoelen of uit eten te gaan en te koken op de barbecue! Uitzicht op zee is te zien vanaf de tuinpoort en het is slechts een korte wandeling naar het strand / dorpscentrum (450 meter), en de dichtstbijzijnde goed gevulde supermarkt ligt op slechts 200 meter afstand.

    Casa da Olga is gecertificeerd lid van 'Registo de Alojamento Local', en is trots om te laten zien dat de 'Sintra Inn'-plaat is beoordeeld op wettelijke conformiteit, veiligheid en kwaliteit door Sintra Camara Municipal.
    Omzetbelasting is inbegrepen in de prijs en er wordt een belastingontvangstbewijs gegeven.

    Het werd volledig herbouwd uit ruïnes in 2004 met vakantiegangers in gedachten, dus alle armaturen en fittingen werden gekozen met stijl, bruikbaarheid en eenvoud in gedachten waardoor het huisje extreem gemakkelijk en comfortabel is om in te verblijven, inclusief het winterseizoen omdat het verwarming heeft .
    Het huisje heeft een tweepersoons slaapkamer (tweepersoonsbed, 2 nachtkastjes met lampen, grote kledingkast, stoel), een goed uitgeruste keuken, een lounge met HD digitale televisie, dvd-speler en geweldig klinkende CD / Radio / iPod docking stereo-installatie en Wi -Fi internetverbinding is beschikbaar in het hele huisje en de binnentuin.
    Een goede selectie van populaire populaire bestverkopende pocketboeken wordt ook verstrekt, samen met kaarten en lokale informatie.
    De badkamer heeft een wastafel met opbergruimte eronder, toilet en douchecabine met overvloedige waterdruk en temperatuur.
    Alle beddengoed en handdoeken zijn aanwezig, inclusief keukenlinnen. Maar breng alsjeblieft je eigen handdoeken mee naar het strand.

    Op de binnenplaats is er een grote BBQ met alle keukengerei, 2 ligstoelen met gewatteerde hoezen, tafel en stoelen voor 2 personen met parasol.

Heerlijk plekje!

We hebben een heerlijke week gehad in dit kleine maar knusse huisje. We werden heel vriendelijk ontvangen door Ralph, de eigenaar. Hij nam alle tijd voor ons bij aankomst en staat altijd voor je klaar. We zaten vlakbij de zee en daar waren we dan ook elke dag te vinden, want we hadden schitterend weer. Ook is er een winkeltje in de buurt waar je 's ochtends lekker om verse broodjes kan. De omgeving is lekker rustig en als je wat meer drukte zoekt, kan je van hieruit makkeliik naar bv Sintra rijden. Met by a fluent English speaker who knew the area was a great beginning to a one week stay at the cottage. Everything was better than expected. It was quiet and clean and in a prefect location. What a week we had.

+ ruhig gelegen, trotzdem fußläufig zum Strand, sehr sauber, alles da, sogar Sonnenschirm für den Strand, der Vermieter war sehr nett und hatte tolle Parkplatztipps auf Lager, - ab Mitte August kann das Wetter sehr kühl und nebelig sein, teilweise Nieselregen, Auto unbedingt erforderlich, um in den wärmeren Süden fahren zu können

Although the cottage is small it is very well equipped and has evrything you need for a comfortable holiday. The garden area is wonderful to relax in after a day sightseeing or on the beach. There is a good choice of restaurants and shops etc in the village and everyone was very friendly. Ralph, the owner came by every other day to check we were okay and ask if we needed any information. He gave us good advice on the bus and train services which are both excellent for getting around. We visited Lisbon and travelled uo the coast to Estoril - both well worth a trip. Nearby Sintra has lots to offer, soaked with history and it's own castle and palace - both very good value for money. There are plenty of interesting little shops and cafes in the narrow cobbled streets. The beach is cleaned daily and covered by lifeguards as the sea can be a bit dangerous and is frequented by lots of surfers for which it is ideal. We trekked to Cap de Roca - the most westerly point in Europe and the walk is worth the effort if you are fit enough - about 2- 2.5 hours. There is a fantastic restaurant in the village there to reward yourselves with All in all a wonderful holiday Ruth and Robbie June 2008

Relaxing in Praia Macais

We had a wonderful vacation with lots of R&R thanks to our gracious host Ralph and the perfect accommodations at the Lisbon Coast Cottages. With a full kitchen and local markets close by we had breakfast at the cottage most mornings. From the cottage we could easily walk to some beautiful hikes along the coast, gorgeous beaches and great seafood and local restaurants. If you are looking for a place to relax or easy access to the Atlantic coast this is a great option. We took Uber into Sintra a few times which is fast and low cost, with so much to see and do - castles, gardens interesting and varied architecture, shopping and more great restaurant. We hiked from the cottage to Cabo da Roca (note the hike has some challenging decents and the lighthouse is very touristy and windy) the hikes are well marked and easy to navigate. Praia Ursa is worth the work it takes to get there! We also walked to Azenhas do Mar which isn’t that far and has a beautiful (but small) beach. The beaches are clean and sandy. Clear water (but cold - it is the ocean!) The tram wasn’t working but we travelled about the same route via car to Sintra. There are easy access buses throughout (2.60) but I expect it would be hard on the stomach with many switch backs and rough roads. Less than 35 and 45 min to the airport (not during rush hour). Also a shout out to Tiffany for her recommendations and assistance on our check out. It was so nice to meet you! Thank you for a wonderful and relaxing vacation!

Kleine, gezellige cottage dicht bij het strand

Heerlijke 2 weken in Casa da Olga gehad. De cottage is schoon, klein maar compleet met een leuke patio. Voor 2 personen prima! Dicht bij meerdere stranden en een mooie plek om vanuit hier Sintra en Lissabon te bezoeken. Van eigenaar Ralph kregen we een 'warm welcome' en vele nuttige tips. Praia das Macas heeft een aantal goede restaurants (ook op loopafstand), waaronder Buzio, Piscina in Azenhas en Nortada. Veel verse vis! Kortom, aan te bevelen en voor herhaling vatbaar! Einfach wunderbar!

Rundum gut versorgt in einem gemütlichen kleinen Häuschen, sehr sauber und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Vielen Dank an die Besitzer, es waren sehr nette Begegnungen, lustig, freundlich, kulant. Und am liebsten würden wir jetzt jedes Jahr kommen... Ganz abgesehen davon, dass die Umgebung, die Menschen, das Essen und nicht zuletzt das Meer einen wunderbaren Urlaub ausmachen. Danke! Bloss ist das Wetter im September nicht zuverlässig gut!

Very small, clean and tidy

We feel this property was as described on the web site but the reviews made it appear more attractive than we found it. A hanging rail in the bedroom doesn't constitute a wardrobe. The shower was tiny which we found difficult to manage as we kept getting caught up in the curtain and, therefore, flooded the bathroom. Having said that, the kitchen was well equipped and the property was basic but adequate. We loved the area and the property is only 5 minutes walk from a beautiful beach and lovely restaurants. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Traumhäuschen fußläufig zum Strand

Wir hatten wunderbare zwei Wochen in Casa da Olga! Das Häuschen ist perfekt für Zwei. Es ist nicht zu groß und auch nicht zu klein, es war wunderbar sauber, gut in Schuss gehalten und wir haben uns ab der ersten Minute sehr wohl gefühlt! Küche: Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet, Geschirr und Besteck ist für vier Personen vorhanden. Man kocht mit Gas, eine Spülmaschine gibt es nicht (aber dafür viele tolle Restaurants in der Nähe ;-) ). Wohnzimmer: Ist offen zur Küche hin, die Couch ist bequem (ausklappbar) und der Tv mit google-Chrome hat gut funktioniert. Bad: Ist klein aber wirklich sehr sauber, top gepflegt und hat ein Fenster. Fön war auch da. Schlafzimmer: 140x200 Bett, eine gemeinsame Decke. Beistelltische und eine Kommode. Sauberkeit: Die Handtücher und die Bettwäsche waren - wie das ganze Haus - sehr sauber. Nach der Hälfte unseres Aufenthalts wurden Handtücher&Bettwäsche gewechselt und das ganze Häuschen sauber gemacht. Top! Draußen: Schöne Terasse mit Gartenmöbeln und Grill. Sehr angenehm hier zu sitzen! Das Häuschen hat in allen Fenstern Schlagläden, die man gut und sicher verschließen kann. So kann man tagsüber die Schlagläden zumachen und kommt abends in ein kühles und frisches Häuschen zurück. Wlan funktionierte immer gut. Vom Haus aus sind es circa 5 Minuten zum Strand, sehr angenehm zu fuß zu gehen. Am Strand und gleichzeitig Zentrum des Dörfchens sind viele sehr leckere Restaurants und der Metzger hat super Fleisch! Die Surfschule Surf at ist auch zu empfehlen. Am besten war allerdings Ralph! Er war ein toller Gastgeber! Er ist witzig und gutherzig und kümmert sich super um seine Gäste. Er hat diverse Tipps auf Lager und kann einem Restaurantempfehlungen, Ausflugstipps und sonstige Ratschläge geben. Wir planen schon jetzt unseren nächsten Tripp nach Portugal und werden sicher wieder bei Ralph und in der Casa da Olga wohnen! Vielen Dank, Ralph!

Great accommodation

We could not have picked a better base for exploring the Lisbon area. Accommodation is clean, well provided and close to a great beach and local shops and the archaic but must ride “electrico”. Ralph’s knowledge of the area has been so very handy, from the directions to get here to local restaurants and places to visit. Lisbon itself is easy to get around with excellent and cheap public transport. Park at Sintra Portelo station and 1/2 hour later you’re in the heart of a vibrant city. Our first time in Portugal so we feel v lucky to have chosen a great place to start to get to know it.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable and quiet.

If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing get away in comfort with thoughtful owners who go the extra mile, then this property is for you. Set within a lovely community the little mini mercardo just round the corner means you can enjoy the property eating local fresh produce in the garden, or venture out on a tram to stunning Sintra. We had problems with our transfer and I lost my phone and Ralph went out of his way to visit to make sure I was ok and tried to track the phone himself and arranged alternate transport for our departure. I have never known an owner that cared so much and he made sure our stay was a happy one. You could hear a pin drop at night so we got lots of quality sleep and recharged our batteries. The coastal walks are amazing and the local people very friendly. I wish I could have given this stay 10 stars!

Fabulous Cottage in Peaceful Authentic Location !!

Praia Das Macais is a wonderful local beach village. The cottage is located in a peaceful street with only a 5 minute walk to the expansive beach. We stayed for 5 nights and we found there were enough restaurants to keep us busy. The sun terrace at the cottage was perfect and we really appreciated the welcome basket. Ralph was an amazing host with lots of helpful hints and tips. The local old style tram takes you up to a bustling but beautiful Sintra and is quite an experience. I would highly recommend the cottage and the people are absolutely lovely in the area. If you want an extremely relaxing and peaceful break, in the real Portudal but still have access to a busy town 30 minutes away then this is the place for you. We may well be back !!

Awesome beach holidays!

Praia das Maçãs was the best holidays we've had in Portugal and a lot to that is the fact that Casa Olga gave us privacy, comfort, and we didn't have to use the car at all! Walking distance to everything. The host was super friendly and kindly left us a basket of fruits, a white wine (delicious vinho verde) and some cookies! What a great start, we thought :) We were a couple plus a toddler which was perfect with the little front yard! Will be back for sure!

Perfect for two

This lovely cottage has everything two people need for a great holiday. Thick walls, shutters and stone floors mean that it stays cool. The kitchen is well equpped, although there are loads of places to eat within a short stroll, so we only used it for breakfast. There's a little supermarket close by with all you could need. The beach is also very close and the sea is very refreshing! We spent 12 nights here and combined walking, sightseeing in Sintra and Lisbon with lazing around either on the beach or in the lovely private garden. Ralph, our host, is a fount of knowledge about the locality and is extremely friendly and helpful. All in all, such a good holiday that we've already booked for next year!

Cosy cottage, lovely location and a great owner!

We love the Lisbon coast, and this was our first time North of Lisbon for 30 years. What a find Casa da Olga was. From the moment we arrived Ralph was attentive, knowledgeable and conscientious. If the only thing you do is listen to where Ralph tells you to park in the beautiful town of Sintra, then that will make your holiday. But listen more, and you will get great tips on beaches, coastal walks, cheap and cheerful cafes serving great food, and top notch restaurants with atmosphere and fabulous food. The cottage is beautifully presented, small as described, clean, fully equipped for a 2 person holiday, and a really super outdoor space with sun loungers, chairs and table and chimney barbecue. The ceramic floors keep the cottage cool in the height of summer, as do the shutters. Parking is right outside, and the area is nice and quiet. Praia das Macas has a range of small shops, including 2 mini-mercados, a bakery (open randomly) and excellent butcher who speaks English and recommended the best black pork we have ever had. The local beach is pleasant and clean, but the coast is definitely worth exploring. Praia da Aguda is a short drive away, or a 1 hour walk all along the cliff top path. The 230 something steps down are safe and easy to manage, and the unspoilt beach is well worth the walk down. Parking at the top is free and plentiful. Praia da Adraga was also worth the visit, and had a very nice restaurant right by the beach. Sintra is worth a whole day. Be prepared to walk and you will see so much more than using the car. The Palace at Monserrate was also delightful, with splendid gardens and tastefully renovated stately home. If the opportunity comes we will definitely visit the area again, and without doubt use Ralph's lovely cottage.

Unlike any Cottage We've stayed in

Great location and private. Clean Clean Clean!!! Ceramic floors throughout and a granit wrap around patio with wonderful gardens. We stayed in the 2 bedroom cottage, and found it roomy for our family of 4. Everything you need is there. Ralph and his Maria were great hosts. We were due to arrive July 28, but our accommodations did not work out for the 2 nights prior and we proceeded to get on to Sintra area. I called Ralph, and although he had already left the area, he recommended a decent place to stay for the night, and welcomed us the next day at no charge. You don't find people like this very often. Just to let you know, we stayed at 3 different places during our 18 days in Portugal, and the only place that did not work out, was the one that was recommended to us by a travel agent. This was our first trip to Europe and very hesitant on booking on line. Ralph and I communicated several times by phone and email. We stayed in July of 2007 and the boys still talk about it. Great beaches, make sure to check out Grand Beach, and some of the less popular ones off the beaten track. We have some amazing photos. Don't be afraid to explore, whether by foot or by car. Ralph has done an amazing job on the web site. It is dead on, no surpises. Kids were 10 and 11 at the time. They were happy running down to the local market for the ice cream. Make sure to ask Ralph for the name of the very popular family restaurant in the next village (sorry, I forgot). Hope they still have the bbq stand by the fire station on Friday and Saturdays. Amazing chicken, and buns, crazy inexpensive. Make sure you get there early. We got a chance to get into the Calarus winery, very cool. Restaurant eating could get pricy, but we took advance of the local butcher and had a few charcoal bbqs. Cafe down the way was great for breakfast or lunch. Large portions and very inexpensive. Good access to take rail to Lisbon. We would stay here again if every we find ourselves in Portugal again. There is something for everyone here. Ottawa, Canada
