Check-in was at 4, we arrived at 4:15 and there were no keys in the lock box. I tried messaging the host, but was my messages were not going through. I tried calling but got the phone number was unavailable. After walking and found a hotel to warm up (January) - they let me use their phone to call, took 2 tries, and got through but was told there was no one available to help and they would call me back! I tried messaging again through the app and it went thru (connected to hotel WiFi). The host responded that the housekeeper/cleaner was still there and to knock. I responded we weren’t there anymore but could he confirm keys would be available when we walked back. They were there once we walked back but there were other issues. The main bedroom mattress was fine but the other two mattresses were like sleeping on springs, very uncomfortable and need to be replaced. The dishes in cupboard were not clean & silverware drawer was dirty, I cleaned everything before using. On the deck/patio, there was an empty beer can (appeared used as ashtray) the cleaner missed. Instructions on how to lock the double doors were not correct! I messaged the host who gave different (correct) instructions. The stovetop is an induction range with instructions on how to use however more than half the pans (T-Fal) didn’t work with an induction stovetop (all were Teflon and completely scratched up)! The flat was in a great location, but really needs updating and proper instructions.
