Een elegante periode volledig gemoderniseerd, begane grond tuin flat in het hart van Londen's bruisende arts buurt, Southbank, dicht bij Tate Modern, de London Eye, Waterloo Station, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Shakespeare's Globe, het Nationale Theater, BFI National Film Theater en veel buizen en bussen.

De ruimte

Een twee slaapkamers, twee badkamers flat (douches in beide badkamers - een walk-in, de andere is boven het bad) met een achtertuin in een mooie, rustige straat van Victoriaanse en Edwardiaanse rijtjeshuizen dicht bij de rivier in het Londense Zone 1.

Twee dubbele slaapkamers, een met een tweepersoonsbed en een met een kingsize bed en een extra bed kan worden gemaakt op de bank. Achter tuin met een barbecue, tafel en stoelen, keuken-woon-eetkamer, volledig uitgeruste keuken, koel-vriescombinatie, inductie kookplaat, oven en magnetron en een vaatwasser. Er zijn twee badkamers, beide met douches, een met een bad. Er is een wasmachine / droger in de badkamer en buitenruimte voor het drogen van kleding. Centrale verwarming. WiFi-toegang.

Interactie met gasten

Als ik in de stad ben ik zal waarschijnlijk verblijven in de buurt, als ik weg ben dan een familielid of vriend omwonenden zullen worden bij de hand.

Zo'n geweldige plek om te worden, ligt dicht bij alle podia van Londen's Southbank zoals het Nationaal Theater, Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Tate Modern, BFI National Film Theater, Shakespeare's Globe, Market Borough Farmers' (voor fijnproevers!), De Old Vic theater, de Young Vic theater, Union Theater, de London Eye, London Aquarium en nog veel meer! Er zijn 6 supermarkten binnen een paar minuten lopen.

Verplaatsingen

Gelegen tussen twee erg handig stations, Waterloo en Blackfriars en met vele buslijnen in de buurt - hoewel u waarschijnlijk zullen kiezen om de meeste plaatsen lopen! Covent Garden ligt op 15 minuten lopen en Soho ligt op 25 minuten loopafstand. Londense taxi's kunnen worden aangehouden om de hoek op de hoofdweg en Ubers halen u op van de deur.

Damian made us feel very welcome. He gave us a comprehensive overview of the property, invited us to use things in the cupboards and a great supply of coffee. The flat was close to Waterloo station whilst at the same time being in a quiet street. An added bonus given we were there new years eve was the protection from the extremely busy foot traffic by being inside the exclusion zone while also being able to see some of the fireworks.

My family of four had a wonderful stay! It was as described and presented. Damien was a caring and gracious host leading up to and during our time in the flat. Location was ideal and what we had hoped - a quaint little street that was central and within walking distance to much of what my family wanted to do and see, but also a very short walk to Waterloo station, which was a great hub for farther transit.

The flat was in a great location and easy to get to everything we wanted to see throughout London. We would absolutely rent here again. Everything was exactly as pictured, clean and comfortable. Damien was so helpful and nice to work with. Neighborhood was quiet and safe with lots of restaurants, pubs, grocery and drugstore options within walking distance. Easy walk to numerous bus stops and 3 tube stations that we used constantly. This would not keep us from renting again, but a word of caution to anyone very sensitive to noise and not used to living with others above them: bring a white noise machine and/or earplugs as you can hear the upstairs neighbors. They were not doing anything crazy-just normal life sounds but if they are on a different schedule from you it will be noticeable. This was totally manageable for us with white noise machine but sensitive folks should plan ahead. All around awesome property!

Our stay was about as perfect as possible. Damien was a wonderful host - very responsive and he seemed to think of everything we could have needed well in advance. He truly was fabulous to work with. Plus, his flat was every bit (perhaps even more) inviting and comfortable as it looks in the photos. Beds were comfortable, kitchen and living area were well outfitted and pleasant, and the outdoor garden added a lovely, secluded feel to this perfectly located flat. Easy walk to so many things, and easy access to the Tube made this a great "first London visit" location. Perhaps our best vacation ever!

From booking to checking in, Damien was a fantastic host! Damien was in contact throughout the process, on arrival he had juice, milk, fresh fruit etc for us. His flat is lovely and located in a perfect neighborhood base. We walked to nearly everything we wanted to see/do. Tube, train, coffee, grocery shops, pubs, all within minutes walk. It is literally 400 steps to the Thames, yes we counted:). Staying in a flat lends to a more local experience. To be able to come back at days end and prepare dinner or just relax sitting in the garden is something you can’t get at hotels. Just wish we had more time to enjoy it. Can’t wait to stay here again!

A real find!

This spot is a gem - extremely comfortable (including great beds and linens), incredibly well equipped and spotlessly clean. The garden is a lovely bonus. Our host Damien thought of everything and was gracious, generous and easy to reach. We walked everywhere, but if needed, Waterloo tube station is close by. We were delighted to return to this lovely flat at the end of busy London days and hope to stay there again.

Perfect homebase in a central location

This beautiful flat was the perfect location and comfort for my parents and I to stay a week in London. It was walking distance to multiple tube and train stations and busses. Tons of restaurants and grocery stores near by. Easy to get around. The best part was the flat, which had all the things we needed to make it feel like home.

Family Vacation in London

My family and I just returned from a week in London staying in this flat. We had a wonderful time. The property owner was extremely communicative and proactive from the moment we booked. We could not have asked for a more ideal location--close to all the public transportation one needs, and within walking distance to many top attractions in central London. Yet the flat is on a quiet and picturesque street there in the heart of the city. The owner made sure we were greeted personally, assisted in planning travel, and had snacks and fresh flowers for my travel-weary family as soon as we arrived! The flat is close to multiple excellent restaurants, grocery, and, of course, a Pret! This was an extremely cozy place to return to after a day of seeing the sights and a great meal at one of London's many wonderful restaurants. Check out couldn't have been easier, and owner was quickly responsive to all questions we had during the stay. Very highly recommended!

A week at Damien's place

What a wonderful place! Our family of four spent a week at Damien's place while visiting London. It's in a charming neighborhood close to the river with easy walking access to most of the main attractions. We were allowed to check in early as well and Damien showed us around on arrival. Everything was super clean and comfortable with a ton of recent updates. Couldn't ask for more!

un emplacement exceptionnel

cet appartement est exceptionnel, un emplacement parfait pour visiter Londres à pied la plupart du temps. Damien est très gentil. Il nous accueille avec de petits attentions (jus d'orange, céréales, fruits...) ce qui permet de prendre le premier petit déjeuner sans se soucier de faire les courses tout de suite. De petits supermarchés sont très prêts de l'appartement. Il y a des restaurants, food trucks, des pubs bien sûr. L'appartement se trouve en plein Londres dans une petite rue très tranquille (nous avons même vu un écureuil!). C'est très tranquille, peu de voitures passent et il y a de la végétation. Le petit jardin est très agréable, l'appartement a tout ce qu'il faut, il est très beau, agréablement meublé. Nous n'avons rencontré aucun problème. Une vraie parenthèse enchantée. Je veux y retourner!!!

Outstanding Family Trip

We had an incredible stay at Damien's flat. He was there to greet us and very generously allowed us to check in early and store our bags after a long trip from the U.S. The flat was exceptionally well equipped and Damien gave us some great tips on restaurants, local travel, etc. Excellent walkability and access to transportation. Fantastic Stay!

Our family of 4 enjoyed staying at Damien's place. The location is near Waterloo station and The Queen's Walk along the South Bank of the Thames. It is on a quite street, but convenient to shopping, restaurants and grocery stores. Damien met us upon arrival and showed us around the house. He provided coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, spices, olive oil, vinegar and lots of other staples. The place is colorful and has lots of plants both inside and out. Mint and rosemary grow in the garden patio, which we enjoyed when weather permitted. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated having the washer. It was a fantastic stay and Damien is a wonderful host!

Short trip to London

This property was perfect for our family of four. Well situated in easy walking distance to the Eye and the river. Plenty of space and Damien was amazing. We had some flight trouble getting to London, but Damien was super friendly and responsive. Would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in London.

Lovely Space to Come Home to.

Firstly let me congratulate and thank Damien for being a superb host. He is a prompt and informative communicator and met us at the flat to show us around and answer any questions we may have had. The flat is not large but it’s very comfortable. The living area has an enormous sofa and the kitchen is equipped with anything you could possibly need, including a dining table. Damien very thoughtfully left us welcome gifts of food and drinks, as well as written information for everything pertaining to both the flat and the area. Beds are extremely comfortable and the main bedroom opens out onto the pretty back garden which we unfortunately couldn’t use because of the weather! There is a combined washing machine/dryer and wifi is reliable and fast. Waterloo Station is an easy 14 minute walk as are lots of restaurants in areas such as Gabriel’s Wharf. Would we go back? Indeed we would!

Southbank vacation

The apartment was in a great location. On a quiet street just a block from good bus routes and within walking distance to Waterloo station. Damien was the best host. We were able to check-in early and met us at the apartment. He had flowers on the table and a few staples in the fridge. The small bedroom had direct access to a bathroom while the larger bedroom had the bathroom in the hallway. The garden in the back was lovely, though a bit overgrown. We did not get to use because of the rain. We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely flat. Amazing location.

The four of us enjoyed staying at this flat in London in May 2024. The outdoor garden seating area was charming, the living area & beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was spacious & modern. The flat is on a quiet street yet quite close to the fun, bustling River Thames touristy area (& since we were tourists, that worked out perfectly for us.) Highly recommend!
