Working with Clarissa was pleasant. Response times varied, but our questions were answered. Check-in instructions were clear and the unit is an easy walk from Earl’s Court. However, there were no instructions for living in the unit (garbage, laundry, TV, or local information).The entry door is extremely narrow and the stairwell was dirty with leaves, debris, and dust—poor first impressions that a cleaning would fix. The apartment felt airy and bright during the day, but issues quickly became apparent. Bathroom doors needed painting, only one tub had a drain stopper, the hallway shower hose leaked badly, and 1 heated towel rack stopped working.Several of the 9 ceiling lights in the common area were out or very dim, creating unpleasant lighting. The cooktop light didn’t work, forcing us to use phone flashlights. Exhaust fan filters were dirty, the sink disposal was broken. The kitchen was otherwise well equipped with new pans.The sofa bed was very old with a thin mattress, dirty underneath, missing a duvet cover, and only a flat sheet was provided. One bedroom smelled strongly of cologne. The master bedroom was not clean: the closet contained bags of dirty linens, and by the final night we experienced what appeared to be bed bug bites.The washer worked but the dryer did not. The refrigerator was clean and new. A fire alarm triggered early in the stay and continued beeping loudly every second for days. Overall, I would not rent this unit again nor recommend it to others.
