Rock n Roll History House direct onder het HOLLYWOOD-bord

  • Dit is het dichtstbijzijnde huis naar de Hollywood Sign, grenzend aan de 4000 acres van Griffith Park. Ooit eigendom van de 60's band The Association ("Cherish", "Windy", "Never My Love"), heeft dit huis een lange geschiedenis van rock n roll. David Crosby maakte op een feest in dit huis kennis met Graham Nash van Mama Cass, die naast de deur woonde. Als u wilt dat alles nieuw en glanzend als The Four Seasons, moet je een kamer in het Four Seasons te boeken. Dit is een leuk, rustiek Rock 'n Roll Landmark-huis uit 1963, gefotografeerd door Linda McCartney in 1967 en opgenomen in haar boek' The Sixties '.

Fabulous home in Hollywood Hills

We loved staying in this one-of-a-kind home in the Hollywood Hills. There was ample room for five of us - two parents and our three young adult sons - and we especially enjoyed the deck with its sprawling LA views, and general comfort of the entire home. We would love to stay here again!

A get away….

Location is great if you want to escape the LA hustle. Great trails for outdoor activities! We had to be at UCLA for events and it was a tough commute. The home needs an upgrade; but as-is condition worked for a short weekend. The Owner was professional and very responsive.

Great house with amazing history!

We loved staying at this house!! The host was so nice and shared the history of the house with us, which was awesome! We were there for Universal Studios and it was an easy 10 minute drive from the house. There is a problem with some ants due to being on the hill but it was manageable. Wonderful LA Stay

Jeff was awesome and super communicative during our stay! A beautiful home with an even better view. While the drive up to the house is very curvy, you can't beat the location. It was easy to get around! The house has a phenomenal sound system that made waking up to music very nice. While we didnt spend a whole lot of time in the house, when we did, it was cozy and had everything we needed + more. Overall we would love to stay again!

Wonderfully quirky, and with a Musical History!

This A-Frame Chalet, clinging to the side of the Hollywood sign’s mountain looks like California, tastes like the sixties. The color, the architecture, the views in the morning at sunrise or in the evening overlooking Los Angeles was an adventure unto itself. We could have not chosen a more personable place to stay for our 50th wedding anniversary with our family. Many thanks to Jeff, our host, and Jack, his magnificent canine.

Really Cool Place

We loved our stay at the chalet. It is a really cool house in an awesome spot underneath the Hollywood sign. My family loved our time there. Our two boys, ages 10 and 7, loved the loft area on the second floor and the hot tub outside. It’s a great place to explore with the Mulholland trail right nearby. If you like running/walking the trail is fantastic. Iconic views of the Hollywood sign and LA skyline. It’s also a really short drive to Universal Studios. If you are looking for something different than just a hotel room, I highly recommend this awesome chalet. Jeff is really great and easy to communicate with. It is truly an iconic Los Angeles experience, easy 5 stars!

Owner was very responsive to the couple of items we had questions about. Would have liked a downstairs shower but as we were all family, it worked out. Beautiful and Quaint Rooftop View

The Chalet was a wonderful retreat and very rustic in nature. Every balcony had a different point of view, whether just enjoying the scenery or people watching those who hiked up to the sign. And of course, we all loved Jacks’ company when we were downstairs. That’s the owner’s Husky/tour guide lol! The stay was peaceful, well shaded from the morning sun and we are already planning to stay here again next year on another trip back to LA.

Family fun

If your looking for a great place to get together with family/friends and relax and enjoy each others company, you can find that here. If your looking for something to complain about, you can certainly that as well. this is a great place if you can roll with it and just enjoy what it has to offer. If your three couples with six kids and 2 dogs between you, your going to love this place. If staying somewhere immediately after 3 couples with 6 kids and 2 dogs makes you apprehensive, this is probably not your best option.

Hollywood sign was everything.

For my experience, it was strange to have the host on the same property with only glass doors separating but it was fine. Our group felt that the property could use a bit of TLC. None the less, the history of the house and the Hollywood sign made the entire trip worth it and my family and I would stay there again. Views were unmatched and that sound system was incredible.

A Bit Overrated

Overall good stay. The owner was very nice and was receptive to our needs. The place does need some TLC; a lot of things are neglected, like the grill, hot tub, outdoor furniture, and kitchenware. Our biggest issue, however, was the cleanliness of the place. It really needs a deep, deep cleaning.
