'We enjoyed our 2 night stay at the Down Inn. The staff were friendly, our room was comfortable and clean, and parking was easy. There was a good choice of food on the breakfast menu and the cooked dishes were well cooked. If anything there was a bit too much food, but that's a personal preference. We appreciated the fact that there were a selection of cold options (such as cereals and yoghurts), continental (croissants) and a number of different cooked options. We ate in the restaurant one...

'Great hotel with friendly service and good nice looking restaurant. I was comming in late so they made me a delicious sandwich to avoid going to bed without meal. I received a room with bathroom for disabled people. It would be good to have a squeegee there ;-). Nice parking space but maybe a slow loading station for electric cars would be a nice add-on. Breakfast starts a bit late if you target business people.'

'A friendly welcome by the staff and very attentive throughout our stay. Room 8 was excellent with plenty of space and a large bath with separate shower. Food selection was great and expertly prepared. Plenty of choices for breakfast. Good selection of drinks at the bar. Several walks from the hotel and the river Wye is only a 15 minute walk away.'

'The bar downstairs is fun, noisy & lively. The bedrooms right above are the same. So if you don’t want a DJ in your bedroom until midnight, stay elsewhere. They provide ear plugs in the rooms, so draw your own conclusion. The breakfast was nice k the location was great, very central.'
