'I was welcomed like a friend the moment I walked through the door, unpretentious and genuinely warm. The house is charming and full of history. It's a Victorian home built by a shipbuilder in the 1800s. There's something pretty special about staying somewhere with that much history. The comfort matched the character of the place, and the homemade baking alone is worth the visit. When I had to leave before the crack of dawn to catch a flight, there was a box waiting for me with a packed breakfast...

'we stayed in one of the cottages and it was lovely, clean and comfortable. 3 of us, so made use of the pull out coach. Seperate temperature controls for upstairs vs downstairs was nice but a little noisy. Breakfast in the main inn was very tasty and the staff were all great, especially Malachai who gave us more information about the University.'

It is quite hard to believe that they are not checked out for cleanliness by some person who would be in charge of the Gingerbread House Inn. The man...

'The location is perfect and the inn is quite charming. The room did look larger in the pictures online but the hot tub area could not have been better. We enjoyed our stay. Just as a note, if you are planning on staying and have a larger vehicle the parking lot can be a little bit tight. '
