'The room was decent and the bed comfortable. The issue we had was the bar had closed at 10.25pm and the bar staff wouldn’t serve us despite us having been told that it would be open until 11pm. We weren’t even allowed to add drinks to our bill and have them in our room because the barman said he’s closed all the tills. He said we could go to the local garage if we wanted to buy alcohol - not exactly what you expect when staying in a hotel.'

'Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.'

'The Bowl Inn is exceptional, set in an idyllic location just outside Bristol city centre. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the bedrooms are luxuriously appointed. One of the highlights was the large windows, which open fully onto the stunning surrounding countryside, creating a peaceful and relaxing retreat. Highly recommended.'

'Gezellige pub met prima kamer. Zoals je op de foto’s al ziet is het wat oubollig maar dat geeft juist wel een mooie karakteristieke sfeer. Goed en snel geholpen bij inchecken. Volgende keer ontbijt in deze toko overslaan. Een half uur wachten op een zwarte koffie en dan cappuccino krijgen. En na ruim een uur mijn ontbijt gekregen wat ook zeker niet overeenkwam met de bestelling. Omdat ik geen zin had om nog langer te wachten het verder maar laten gaan. Mevrouw deed heel druk maar er waren...
