'Wij verbleven in the Fleece om Oxford te bezoeken (20 min rijden naar P en R) , maar ook enkele leuke stadjes in de Cotswolds liggen binnen handbereik. Het hotel heeft een gezellige sfeer, vriendelijk personeel, en een heerlijk ontbijt (diverse keuzes waaronder naast traditioneel Engels ook yoghurt met granola en Belgische wafel met yoghurt en fruit). Kamer was ook prima en goed verzorgd, eten in het restaurant erg lekker. Reserveer wel een plekje bij aankomst, dinsdagavond was er plek genoeg...

'Het is een handige lokatie tussen Oxford en Bath welke steden wij wilden bezoeken zonder steeds een ander hotel te moeten bezoeken. Het hotel is een echt wat ouder hotel maar de kamers waren schoon, het meubilair gedateerd maar dat heet tegenwoordig vintage dus eigenlijk helemaal uptodate. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en het eten in de Pub was goed ook het ontbijt was simpel maar goed, je kon oa kiezen uit een full English, toast with eggs of cereals. Nat gave us a nice bottle of fizz & a note wishing us a happy anniversary. Rob was also wonderful behind the bar & eveeyone looked after us so well. Matt is a genius in the kitchen & fed us some amazing food. It is our favourite place to stay & we will be comi g back again & again.'

'The hotel had a great location, parking is a bit difficult. but very noisy, because the terrace under the room is very noisy, you think the people ar sitting and laughing in your room..... no airconditioning'

'The bedrooms have good facilities which adds to comfort, ie comfortable bed, Roberts radio, iron and ironing board, cafetière for your coffee as well as choice of teas. Large bathroom with good shower which was powerful and hot. We had dinner at the hotel and even though the food was okay, the service was slow. The staff were very apologetic but there were large parties in for dining and there are not enough waiting staff to cope.'

'Bedrooms lovely but tight around beds. but en-suites quite roomy. So easy for different groups to do different things in the huge barn dinning/kitchen/lounge. Our 4 and 6 aged grand sons loved the space and outdoors games. Trampoline, football, table tennis etc. Google the grinding barn for easy location guidance as 3 of our 4 cars struggled with the given directions.'
