'We were in is a one-bedroom unit of a large condo complex which appeared to be a mixture of owned and rented units. It is well run but the office is only staffed during the day. There is a communal picnic and pool facilities. Although on the waterfront, it has no ocean swimming or beach. There was a lovely view of the ocean and sunset from our unit. The WiFi was reliable in the bedroom but did not reach throughout the unit. The kitchen equipment and washer/dryer appeared new and worked well....

'The property is very nice. It’s a busy area but the hotel is a great hub. It was great to have a laundry and the staff was very helpful making change for it. Being able to walk to good restaurants and shopping was nice. Also have a number of good activities nearby was good. I wish the hotel had a nightlight in the bathroom so trips in the night wouldn’t require a big bright light.'

'Everything was great we got to check in ourselves we came early and they let us check in early. The service when we had a problem was answered fast through the app. The Kona Bali staff was also very pleasant and very diligent. The only thing was the washer and the ac weren’t working and that would have helped a lot, but they had a laundry room for residents that we were able to use but it did cost money.. keep change on hand or use the app they have which totally saved us. The pool and jacuzzi...

'In general the property was quite nice. Rooms are spacious if somewhat run down (they were doing some renovations though so that might be solved soon). It is in a nice location by the ocean and the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable with good staff. The pool is somewhat small but acceptable, the private lagoon somewhat makes up for this though (it is also a great place to try out your snorkel before going into the ocean). 'room looks clean and large, but cockroaches moving in room!!!! i called front desk, and one came to catch cockroaches, but i still dare not turn off lights and i didn’t sleep well, the most important, next day i went another hotel, i scared of they had cockroaches too, i can’t sleep well either.'

'Beautiful and peaceful stay! The house was clean, well-equipped, and had stunning mountain and shoreline views. Breakfast was delicious every day, and the host was very friendly. Just a heads-up — finding the road to the hotel took a bit of time, but everything else was perfect!'

'Peaceful and quiet, a great place to unplug and detach from the modern world and all its amenities. The only down side is the outdoor shower. Basically you have to shower early while the sun is still out. We came back late to our cottage and opted to shower in the morning. '

Just Perfect

"We stayed here for the Ironman. Since our son qualified late we were very lucky to find this place. Communication with Sarah was perfect from the beginning. She gave us tips for restaurants, beaches, etc. She even supported our son during the Ironman. We loved the house. Our bed was even long enough for me (I'm about 2 meters tall). The kitchen has all the things you need. We loved both lanai's. The neighbourhoud is quiet. And it's just a short drive to the center and the supermarkets. We would certainly book it again when visiting Hawai'i"

"In general the property was quite nice. Rooms are spacious if somewhat run down (they were doing some renovations though so that might be solved soon). It is in a nice location by the ocean and the bar/restaurant was very enjoyable with good staff. The pool is somewhat small but acceptable, the private lagoon somewhat makes up for this though (it is also a great place to try out your snorkel before going into the ocean). The hotel is within walking distance of the town which is useful for finding food, drinks and other small shopping. Main issue we had was that the big trucks driving past can be quite loud if you are on that side of the hotel. The AC was also very loud and right above the bed, it also turned on and off every few minutes throughout the night so if you are sensitive to sound this might be nice to know. In general I would recommend this hotel if you can get a good deal on the price. It is quite nice for a 3* hotel. "
