'We had a great stay overall. The room was clean and well maintained, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was your typical continental selection—nothing fancy, but perfectly fine. I especially enjoyed having access to the pool. One thing to note is that the carpeted area around the pool tends to stay wet, which is understandable but something to be aware of. Unfortunately, the sauna was not working during our stay. It snowed while we were there, and the parking lot was cleared...

'When i arrived the parking & walking area was a sheet of ice. When i got to my room the thermostat was set to full max. It felt like a 110 degree sauna. I Tried to turn down the heat but the room was so hot that it would have taken all night to cool down enough. To remain clothed, I attempted to open a window to let some heat out only to find the windows screwed shut. I asked for another room but was told that i ciuld not have one. I tried to take a cool shower because i was sweating so badly...

'Clean and neat room, reasonable. Old motel and shows signs of being dated. I actually like that about this place. Not a boring sterile modern room. However, very clean and well taken care of. '

The location is superb and centrally located in the White Mountains (we hiked the Lonesome Lake trail and the Franconia Ridge trail loop).
