Relaxing getaway.
Great spot for relaxing and taking in a beautiful view, while spending quality time together with our adult kids. Made use of both the indoor gas fireplace as well as the fire pit outside. Played board games & lots of fun fishing too!

Lakehouse Peace
Took my 92 year old Dad for a little peaceful fishing with some family. Cleanest place we've ever stayed. Got to check in early and owners answered any questions immediately. Kitchen was well stocked. Can't wait to go back and do it again.

Clean & roomy, great outdoor space.
House was clean, everything was comfortable, and we had a great time! Couple of things would have made it perfect: ladder or stairs to get in/out of water; dresser & side tables in all rooms; better internet (some of us had to work/study and connection was spotty. Also neighbors partied loudly until 3am on our last night, making 9:30am checkout difficult.

Such a fun place
We vacationed with our family (with 5 teenagers) and this was such a fun place! House was clean, well-stocked, and communication was superb with the owners! I would highly recommend and we plan to return in the future!

Fantastic Summer Family Time
This is by far one of the best VRBO stays we have ever had. It was a perfect location with everything and anything we could possibly need to have relaxing summer fun on a lake. Our hosts were friendly & responsive, and the house was really comfortable & updated. Looking forward to when we can return.

Beautiful home and location
This home is exactly as pictured. Beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. We spent a lot of time on that amazing porch and deck and we never once tired of the view.

Beautiful house and lake !
The house is beautiful and the photos are accurate. We rent frequently and the finishings in this house are nice and furniture comfortable. The deck is stunning and perfect for morning coffee or evening cocktails. There were three couples with age ranges from 64 -72. Three of the four bedrooms are up a steep flight of stairs that depending on the age of your party may be difficult to navigate. The owner is very responsive and very nice. We certainly would rent again and anxious to see what they do with future properties! Thank you Mike and Sue

Very nice property and accommodations.
Nice accommodations. Owner Mike was on sight when we arrived and explained he needed to replace patio set and cut grass and we wouldnt see him again. Had little wasp issue thought was taken care of but it came back and Mike got right on it when I notified him and had it taken care of immediately. Would definitely recommend this place as well as the owners themselves.

Beautiful lake setting
Everything was perfect. Mike and Sue are great hosts and very welcoming, the house has a beautiful view of the lake and the deck is a peaceful spot for reading. The kids enjoyed diving off the raft and the Kayaks. No one wanted to leave!

The house was perfect for our family. 6 adults, 1 child and 1 infant. It would have been nice if they had a crib or pack play. The swim mat was fun along with the dock for jumping into the lake or fishing. The check out time was 9:30. It would have be nicer if it was 10:00-10:30.

Girls weekend 2022
House was very clean and well equipped with everything needed for a great weekend. There were 6 of us and we had plenty of space to make ourselves at home. We just brought our food and drinks and enjoyed the calmness of Lake Nette. We rented the pontoon boat for 1 day and enjoyed floating in the water. Excellent location and property.

“Testing the waters” for our kids
We were looking for a nice, well kept, clean lake home for our family of 4 and Mike and Sue’s property did not disappoint. My wife isn’t much for camping so having clean bathrooms/showers is a must. Our kids had a fear of boats from slightly traumatic experience they had their first time riding on a boat a few years back, so this vacation was a “test” to see if I could get them back into loving the lake life as I always did in my younger years. The ease of renting the pontoon available through Makin Waves as part of the booking process and the boat being docked for us and ready upon arrival was just perfect too. Everything I could’ve asked for to make this trip go exactly how I needed and wanted it to go went exactly how I’d hoped it would. The house is beautiful. It comes equipped with plenty of water toys, has a nice oversized floating doc ( we caught bluegill off the doc non-stop!). The yard was big enough for us to play corn hole and volleyball and is shaded by trees that don’t block the view of the lake. The deck is spacious and plenty of space inside with 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths, it’s updated with nice furnishings and the overall booking/communication was perfect. I also liked the secluded area in the north bay of Nettle lake that is designated no-wake at all times for swimmers and fishing. It was calm and I disturbed all day, which you don’t get at other sporting lakes. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family, we had an amazing vacation here.

Great Lake Get Away

We had a wonderful time. The house was clean and right on the lake. We rented the a boat for a day. Which was great since it was a little too cold swim. Also having the kayaks was awesome. We even made it all the way around the lake on them.

Arrival and check in were super easy. Everything that you need to cook was supplied. House was clean. View was spectacular. If you’re looking to reconnect with the family, play some board games and visit, this is the place. There isn’t much to do locally but that’s not why we chose this location. Wonderful getaway.

60th Birthday Get away
This lake house was recommended to us by customers at our winery and we truly loved our stay at this lovely lake house. As small business owners, this type of get a way is was very much needed especially after the last 18 months. We were so impressed at how EVERYTHING was thought of and didn't want for anything. We brought our own food and had a blast cooking together while looking at the lake and grilling out one night too. We highly recommend renting the pontoon boat (separately). That was wonderful! Just one little note to future guests, even though the VRBO listing shows a picture of a golf cart and another picture with someone in the golf cart, there is NO cart that comes with the house. Not a big deal but I just wanted to make it known for future renters. Highly recommend this property, especially in the early fall.

Beautiful Cottage on Nettle Lake!!!
My Husband and I stayed here with my in-laws. It was their 60th Anniversary. They love the water and this was the perfect place for them. We could sit in the living room or the Kitchen and enjoy the beautiful view of the lake! This cottage had everything you needed! The Master bedroom is on the first floor which was perfect for the in-laws. 3 good size rooms upstairs! The only thing we needed to bring was food! Next time we would love to rent the Pontoon boat! Thank you Mike & Sue for a great mini vacation!

End of summer vacay
Our family enjoyed the stay at this lovely lake house. We loved the ability to fish from the dock and the convenience of the pontoon rental. The open communication between Mike and Sue was prompt and friendly. We all came away relaxed and refreshed! The kitchen could use a 9 x 13 casserole dish and kitchen shears, but otherwise was very well stocked.

Loved the property! Beautiful finishes Super clean Beds were comfy, linens & towels were plush & soft We enjoyed the deck and the lake views beginning with our morning coffee to afternoon drinks and cards to our evening meal. What a wonderful cottage on Nettle Lake! Mike and Sue are great to work with and respond very quick to any questions. The cottage is just like the pictures and it's so clean!! The cottage really has everything that you will need for your vacation! Our kids loved the large blue swimming mat along with the kayaks! They also had a blast catching bluegills and catfish off the dock! If anyone wants to grab a bite out to eat make the short drive to Pioneer and try Loggers and the Pizza Barn! Thank you Mike and Sue for such a great cottage! Wonderful memories were made!

Enjoy the quiet community of Nettle Lake.
Mike and Sue's house was very clean and well-maintained. We liked that there was a first-floor master suite in addition to the three bedrooms and bathroom upstairs; the deck was very nice for sitting outdoors. Even though the neighbors were very close, everyone seemed very considerate. The separate wake and no-wake hours for the lake made it so that all could enjoy themselves no matter their interests.

We enjoyed this beautiful home, lake Nettle and all the fun lake toys! My kids spent hours upon hours fishing. Some of the best memories I will cherish with my family, in part, because no one could be on a phone with WiFi!
