'Clean, comfortable rooms but quite cosy. The pub is on the busy A65, so it can be quite noisy, even at the back. Very little choice for vegetarians/vegans, especially if you don't like fake meat. Although the kitchen did agree to do the mushroom salad which is normally only on the lunchtime menu for dinner, which was nice. Some fruit at breakfast would have been nice, but there was tasty bread. '

'We stayed for one night, June 2025, I wish it had been longer! From start to finish, everything about our stay was lovely. Picturesque building in a beautiful setting. Plenty of room in the private car-park. The staff could not have been friendlier. We ate an evening meal in the pub and it was really lovely. 'We checked in to this beautiful old inn, and were greeted by owner Johnathan, we were shown to our room and told if we needed anything just ask. Being the winter the kitchen is closed Monday and Tuesday which Johnathan apologised for, we replied it’s absoulutly fine. He told us of the local Chinese just up the road and said please feel free to bring it back to our room to eat, which we did. Excellent Chinese takeaway.
