'The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Evening meal and breakfast were very good. The bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom could do with some updating. Several significant cracks in the walls and evidence of water leaks around the heated towel rail and over bath shower head was leaking water out when running the bath taps. We only had one night so not really an issue for us.'

'I admittedly arrived at a busy time and The Bear was reportedly chronically short of staff. Whilst the room and its cleanliness was excellent, the human side was somewhat chaotic. I queued twice for approx. 15 mins in total only to be told, in regard to ordering food, that the chef was very busy and not feeling well. 'The hotel was on the main street with shops and pubs all in walking distance. We were able to eat and drink at the Red Dragon. The only drawback was no on site parking so the car had to be left about 10 minutes walk away. This was the only issue the rest was great.'

'Property appears to have been recently made over, everything is new and fresh, extremely clean and although on the small side the rooms are perfect for overnight stays, comfortable bed and with more than enough tea/coffee supplies unlike a lot of places. The continental breakfast was excellent quality and plentiful. We could not fault the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money and we will definitely go back'

'Lovely B&B type hotel. Great breakfast, comfortable rooms (be aware there is no elevator so you need to do a flight of stairs with your luggage). Had fun watching a World Cup game in the bar area. Convenient to the Waterfalls Trail which is an amazing hike. Not an easy one though so be prepared!'

'The experience of staying at the hotel was wonderful. Staff were efficient and friendly. Food was excellent. Breakfast was particularly good. The bedroom was tastefully decorated and the bed extremely comfortable. I did not use the bar.'
