  • 'Hunky Dory' is een ruime en lichte vijf slaapkamer huis met interieur en meubilair geïnspireerd op Nantucket Island. Het in 1825 gebouwde en onlangs prachtig gerenoveerde hotel 'Hunky Dory' ligt op een zeer rustige smalle straat naast de werkende, 18e-eeuwse windmolen. Dit huis ligt in de historische binnenstad van de stad, op een korte wandeling langs de herenhuizen van de zeekapiteins naar het hart van de winkels en restaurants van Nantucket. Prachtig aangelegd met hortensia's, lelies, rozen en bloeiende bloembakken, het huis is net zo charmant van buiten als van binnen. Such an amazing stay!! We had the best time. Definitely a tight knit neighborhood so I’d suggest keeping noise to a minimum!

We had a great stay on Nantucket! The house had beautiful nautical charm and is perfect for a big group. The location is an easy walk to town and a quick drive to beaches. We loved having dinner outside in the picturesque yard and taking outdoor showers under the Nantucket sky. I will definitely stay here again!

I couldn’t love this house more. The backyard, outdoor shower, location, character. We loved it. We stayed for 10 days for our wedding week and had such a nice time and everyone who came by loved the house. We cannot wait to plan our stay again. The host is just lovely and so accommodating.

Charming Place; Great Location

Exactly as advertised. Kathleen (host) was very responsive and check-in/out was a breeze. It’s situated on a lovely street about a 10 minute walk into town. Very clean and super convenient to town. I’d recommend and stay there again!

My friends & I really enjoyed our stay at this charming home in Nantucket.

The property is very well stocked with everything you need for cooking, etc. The home is in walking distance to downtown. Renting bikes is fun with wonderful bike paths. We would stay here again.

Lovely stay at this quintessential Nantucket Cottage

Wonderfully welcoming and celebrating Nantucket in every room, this home is charming, comfortable and has a delightful garden to enjoy! We were a group of senior women reuniting for an active stay and the home was a perfect retreat in a fabulous location near to town and bike paths. Many thanks to our host!

Nantucket wine fest

We loved our weekend on Nantucket. The house was easily accessible to Downtown which is where we spent most of our time. We did Uber one day to the Cisco Brewery which was great too! The house was very very clean and Kathleen was easy to contact before the stay for different questions that came up. I would stay at this rental again!

Great location - perfect space!

My family and I had a fabulous time at Hunky Dory! Perfect size for our group of 10, we had plenty of space. The garden was great, ate outdoors mostly and the outdoor shower was divine. Kathleen was very good at communicating!

Wonderful Nantucket rental!

Wonderful vacation home! The owner was very responsive to all questions regarding the house and island. Beautiful yard and gardens! The house is equipped with everything we needed. Loved the kitchen layout and rest of the house. Cozy, yet plenty of room for everybody to not feel on top of each other. Easy 10 minute walk to the center of town. The perfect vacation rental!

Well appointed

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious, beautifully decorated, and on a quiet street but so close to everything: town, beaches, shopping, doughnuts! This was our second time staying here, and we look forward to coming back again. We really appreciate how clean and well appointed it is. Cleanliness meets tranquility

We had a wonderful stay at Hunky Dory! Everything is as advertised online and Kathleen is super easy to work with. The house is very clean, organized, and has everything you need to have a comfortable, relaxing, and fun vacation! The outdoor shower experience is not to be missed while on Nantucket! Hunky Dory is in a great central location that allows you to bike to downtown and to many of the beaches like Cisco and Jetties beach. Would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back for another visit!

A perfect stay!

Our stay at the Hunky Dory was fantastic! It felt like the perfect blend of having our own charming island home and being on a relaxing vacation. The place was comfortable, clean, and charming. The outdoor shower and private yard were all my Nantucket dreams come true. The location was perfect – close enough to explore everything by foot or bike, but also quiet and peaceful. Kathleen, the host, was amazing! She was helpful and friendly, sharing all her local knowledge and ensuring we had all the info we needed for a good stay. We loved it so much, we already booked again for next year! This place is a treasure – shhh, don't tell everyone!

Relaxing week at The Honky Dory!!

I highly recommend Kathleen's place! I went to Nantucket for a week with my husband, 2 daughters and some of their friends. Kathleen's cottage is so comfortable and relaxing. She has everything you would need. The house is very roomy and quiet in a great section of the island. My teenage daughters could easily walk into town with their friends. We booked the same week for next year before we even left the island! Kathleen is very responsive and kind. Highly recommend this gem of a place.

The best Christmas Stroll ever

From start to finish everything was perfect. The host Kathleen was amazingly helpful and responsive with all of our many questions she started getting getting about 11 months before our stay. The property is beautiful, comfortable, and in a perfect location. Hoping to come back to Nantucket real soon and stay here again. The house has plenty of room to spread out and is so comfortably and attractively furnished. We walked most everywhere. The layout of the bedding made it perfect for friends to be together but mostly have their own beds. Such cozy and warm, bedding, and comforters! Thank you for offering your beautiful home as a vrbo!

Perfect getaway

This was a darling comfortable cottage near town. It was so nice for my daughters and I. The upstairs ceilings were a bit of a challenge for my tall daughters, but they didn’t mind. I’m not used to recycling so I was nervous about doing it wrong and getting a fine, but I think we figured it out. Although it is easier to stay in a hotel-you don’t have to wash towels or pay an extra fee-we really loved being together in an adorable cottage. Nantucket is so charming and staying in a cottage just added to the romance of the town. Wonderful host!

Great location for Multigenerational Family

Our family of teens, parents, and grandparents had a wonderful stay at Hunky Dory! There is plenty of room for large family meals while at the same time enough separate spaces for people to spread out to work, play and relax. The location was perfect for walks to town, grocery runs to Stop and Shop and bike rides to the beach. Nantucket was uncharacteristically hot and humid during our stay, so we were very grateful for the AC units in all the rooms. Kathleen was very helpful and responsive. We enjoyed the special attention she gives to little things like pretty sheets, an abundance of towels and beach chairs, fun games and a generous supply of household items.We can't wait to come back next year!
