'This house is the perfect house for all reasons and all seasons! The owners have thought of everything, drawers are labeled, nothing is left to chance, everything is squeaky clean YET it feels like home. We stayed at Benton House the weekend my daughter defended her PhD at Dartmouth and the owners were kind enough to allow a small get-together at the house. The property is park like yet centrally located and a quick rail trail walk to Lucky’s (home of the best breakfast sandwich in the world)...

'Loved the historical charm and layout of the property. Check-in process was easy using the coded keyless entry. The backyard was enormous and we enjoyed the peace and privacy of the property. However, the gas grill was very dirty and needed a thorough cleaning before we could even use it. Also, the flavorizer/heat distribution bars were rusty and corroded and should be replaced. Excellent wi-fi in the farmhouse. Softest bed I've ever slept in, but I found it to be very uncomfortable. Nice flat...

'It's true, there are wonderful views of the lake from this beautiful rental. The house sits on a hill so you get a great perspective. The house is extremely nice - especially the kitchen. There are plenty of rooms and the deck is perfect. There is also a spacious mud-room upon entry. Our only wish would've been to have instructions on how to use the TV. The area is charming and the town of New London serves as a perfect place to shop and dine.'

'The property was clean, spacious and had lots of natural light. It was very close (driving distance) to all we wanted to explore. It would have been nice to have more instruction on the heating systems and pellet stove. We read the stove manual, determined it needs cleaned (badly) so cleaned it after we unplugged the vacuum (it was totally clogged and full). I could not get on the review link for vacasa. King bedroom door lock doesn't work properly, and I had to buy more toilet tissue. '

'We enjoyed our stay very much. We did not use the water activities due to weather, but we went for the cool tempertures and fall leaves. Tom is great and available for any questions. We had no problems, but felt that if we did Tom was within reach. There was wood to enjoy a fire which was very nice. Next time we will need a few more days. Lynn'
